O aviso de licitação da obra em um trecho de 5,4 km foi publicado no Diário Oficial do Estado (D.O.E.) do dia 16 de outubro de 2020. A obra está sendo realizada pela Secretaria Estadual de Infraestrutura (Seinfra) na Rodovia que faz a ligação da BR-116 com o Distrito de Iguá.
A pavimentação da via atenderá 344 mil moradores de Vitória da Conquista. O investimento previsto é de R$ 3,6 milhões.
