O presidente da Câmara Municipal de Vitória da Conquista, vereador Ivan Cordeiro da Silva Filho (PL), marcou presença na recepção ao governador da Bahia, Jerônimo Rodrigues Souza (PT), realizada na noite de sexta-feira (26). A participação foi interpretada como um gesto de maturidade política e respeito institucional.
O chefe do Executivo estadual desembarcou na cidade para prestigiar um evento promovido por um deputado da base governista na Assembleia Legislativa. Jerônimo Rodrigues permaneceu na cidade e, neste sábado, cumpre agenda em Presidente Jânio Quadros e novamente em Vitória da Conquista, para entrega obras e anuncio de novos investimentos.
Mesmo diante de especulações e críticas de setores mais radicais da oposição, o vereador Ivan Cordeiro manteve sua postura de diálogo. Ele reafirmou que seguirá alinhado ao seu partido e ao projeto político que disputará a sucessão estadual em 2026, mas destacou que a política deve ser conduzida com respeito aos adversários e responsabilidade com os interesses da população.
Segundo interlocutores próximos ao parlamentar e à direção do PL em Vitória da Conquista, Ivan Cordeiro tem reiterado seu compromisso com a legenda e com o exercício da presidência da Câmara Municipal pautando sua atuação pela fiscalização, pelo zelo com os recursos públicos e pelo incentivo ao debate de ideias e propostas que atendam às demandas da comunidade, sem abrir mão de suas convicções políticas e ideológicas.
