Uma pesquisa realizada com usuários da 99 e outros transportes por app revelou que o medo de ser vítima de casos de racismo já fez com que 24% dos negros (pessoas que se autodeclaram pretas e pardas) evitassem usar algum tipo de transporte. Os meios mais evitados são ônibus (40%), vans (13%) e metrô (10%). O levantamento faz parte do Guia da Comunidade 99, um documento que visa promover o respeito entre os usuários da plataforma combater a discriminação, e foi realizado para entender como o preconceito racial impacta a mobilidade urbana.
O estudo revelou ainda que, dentre o total de entrevistados, 54% acreditam que a sociedade é racista e 46% que somente algumas pessoas o são. No entanto, apenas 1,5% admitem que são eles mesmos preconceituosos.
Para a amostragem, foram aplicados questionários online, no final do mês de outubro, e os dados reúnem 1308 respostas de usuários de carros por aplicativo de todo o país (da 99 e de outras plataformas). Do total, 42% dos passageiros e 58% dos motoristas se declaram pretos ou pardos.
Quase metade (46%) de todos os respondentes já presenciou um ato de racismo em ônibus, trem, vans e metrô, e 1 em cada 5 negros afirma que já foi vítima de discriminação nesses locais. O levantamento também revelou o preconceito em estabelecimentos comerciais: 49% já presenciou em lojas e shoppings e 48% em mercados. Para as pessoas negras, esses são os lugares onde mais acontece racismo: 33% e 26% já foi discriminada neles, respectivamente. “Eu (preto) e meu primo (branco) estávamos discutindo no shopping e o segurança abordou ele perguntando se eu estava incomodando”, relata um dos respondentes.
Em contrapartida, carro próprio e carros por app foram os meios citados como os mais seguros em relação ao racismo, com 72% e 32% das respostas.
