As políticas públicas de desenvolvimento rural na Bahia vêm mostrando resultados positivos e concretos. Entre as mais de 400 Agroindústrias implantadas em todo o Estado, destaca-se a Unidade de Beneficiamento de Produtos da Mandioca, da Associação Remanescente de Quilombo Lagoa do Jacaré, localizada na zona rural de Paratinga.
NA Unidade, o trabalho inicia cedo, “antes do galo cantar”. Mulheres e homens colocam a mão na massa para produzir pães, petiscos, sequilhos, sonhos, bolos e outros alimentos, garantindo a entrega de mais de uma tonelada mensal ao Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (Pnae), atendendo à rede pública de Ensino, tanto em nível municipal quanto estadual.
“Com uma contribuição mensal de R$ 5 de cada sócio para manter a Associação, nunca conseguiríamos manter uma Unidade como essa. Ver esse empreendimento funcionando é muito gratificante, especialmente ao saber que muitas crianças têm na alimentação escolar os produtos que suas mães produzem aqui na Agroindústria”, destaca Regivaldo Gonçalves, presidente da Associação.
A Unidade foi inaugurada pelo Governo do Estado, por meio da Companhia de Desenvolvimento e Ação Regional (CAR), vinculada à Secretaria de Estado de Desenvolvimento Rural da Bahia, em 2021. Equipada com Forno e Batedeira Industrial, bancada, seladora e outros utensílios, o espaço permanece ativo, fazendo a diferença no Quilombo e produzindo alimentos sob a marca Sabor Raiz.
“Aqui, nosso trabalho é organizado em quatro grupos produtivos, que utilizam a Agroindústria conforme a demanda. Para nós, essa estrutura representa dignidade, geração de renda, resistência e permanência no campo”, destaca Carmem Lúcia Macedo, integrante da Associação.
No âmbito familiar, enquanto finalizava a massa do pão, Calebe Santana, Coordenador de Produção da Sabor Raiz, compartilhou sua trajetória, revelando que o gosto por produzir alimentos vem de família. “Minha avó era uma doceira famosa. Ela ensinou minha mãe, e eu herdei essa habilidade de fazer doces. Além daqui, também sou confeiteiro e produzo doces”, contou.
Desde o surgimento da Associação Quilombola, em 2013, Rosirene dos Santos reforça a importância das políticas públicas voltadas ao rural. “Estamos no caminho certo. Acompanho a Associação desde o início, já fui presidente, e hoje percebo que a chegada dessa Agroindústria foi um marco para nossa comunidade. Acessar os Editais do Governo do Estado faz toda a diferença para manter jovens, mulheres e homens no campo”, afirma.
