O Índice de desempenho socioeconômico (IDS) cresceu 12,8% entre 2008 e 2018. O índice é considerado um dos indicadores que medem a qualidade de vida da população brasileira.
Este índice avalia o progresso socioeconômico a partir da renda e aumentou em todas as unidades da federação, em uma média de 12,8%.
Os maiores incrementos ocorreram em Roraima (32%) e Sergipe (25,8%), onde a renda familiar é mais baixa que a média nacional. Rio Grande do Sul e Rio de Janeiro tiveram os menores incrementos, em 9,1% e 5,6%, respectivamente.
Áreas com menor renda conseguem ter um maior incremento neste indicador, comparativamente a áreas de maior renda.
Para a primeira série avaliada, em 2007-2008, em valores absolutos, o estado de São Paulo teve o maior índice de desempenho socioeconômico do país, seguido por Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro e Distrito Federal, para a série de 2007-2008.
Para 2017-2018, o Distrito Federal ocupa o primeiro lugar. São Paulo ficou na segunda colocação. Na sequência, estão Santa Catarina, Paraná e Rio Grande do Sul.
Neste período, a alta do IDS do Distrito Federal foi de 16,0% e São Paulo, 10,3%.
Outros destaques foram Maranhão e Pará, que cresceram respectivamente 18,3% e 16,8%. Porém, estes permaneceram como os mais baixos do país.
De forma geral, os indicadores que mais impactaram positivamente o país foram Educação e Acesso aos serviços financeiros e padrão vida, com crescimento de 19%. Moradia segue na sequência com 16,1%.
Já o outro indicador que mede a qualidade de vida a partir das privações que as pessoas enfrentam, o Índice de Perda de Qualidade de Vida (IPQV), também apresentou melhores resultados.
Houve uma redução do IPQV, ou seja ganhos na qualidade de vida, com melhoria de quase 30% no período.
Porém, menores ganhos foram registrados para famílias com pessoas de referência preta ou parda.
Quanto maior o nível de instrução de pessoa de referência da família, menores as perdas representadas pelo indicador.
As regiões urbanas das cidades tiveram maiores altas da qualidade de vida, em comparação com as áreas rurais.
Esta pesquisa faz parte da Pesquisa de Orçamentos Familiares e foi divulgada pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística, o IBGE.
