Na manhã desta terça-feira, 7 de setembro, milhares de manifestantes se reuniram na Esplanada dos Ministérios, em Brasília, para celebrar o Dia da Independência e apoiar o presidente Jair Bolsonaro. Os apoiadores, que são representantes de grupos como evangélicos, caminhoneiros, agricultores e motoqueiros, chegaram na véspera do feriado e se alojaram em acampamentos na região central da capital.
Por volta das 10h da manhã, o presidente Jair Bolsonaro falou para uma multidão na capital federal, em cima de um carro de som, ele pediu soberania para governar sem a interferência do Supremo Tribunal Federal.
“Não mais aceitaremos que qualquer autoridade usando a força do poder passe por cima da nossa Constituição. Nós também não podemos continuar aceitando que uma pessoa específica da região dos Três Poderes continue paralisando a nossa população”, afirmou o presidente..
Mais cedo, Bolsonaro sobrevoou a Esplanada e depois acenou para apoiadores em cima de uma caminhonete.
O ato estava marcado para ter início às 8h da manhã, mas o caminhoneiro Vitor Souza, chegou mais cedo para protestar. “Estou representando a classe caminhoneira para tirar esse STF corrupto. A gente tá aqui, 7h da manhã a gente já estava aqui. Quem manda é o povo,” disse o manifestante que veio de Porto Xavier, no Rio Grande do Sul.
O caminhoneiro brasiliense, André Cirillo, disse que a manifestação de hoje é de grande importância para o Brasil inteiro, segundo ele, o presidente precisa de mais autonomia em relação ao Supremo. “Está sendo muito especial para a gente e para a democracia. Porque quem tem que governar é o presidente. Pra mim isso é uma manifestação pacífica, uma manifestação do povo!”.
A manifestação contou com dois trios elétricos, onde as principais demandas do movimento foram expostas. A principal bandeira defendida é a independência do poder Executivo, mas voto impresso, oposição ao Congresso Nacional e a CPI da Covid também entraram em pauta.
Paralelamente, na Torre de TV, aconteceu o ato contra o Governo Federal. A Polícia Militar do Distrito Federal (PMDF) informou que a segurança foi reforçada, policiais que estavam de folga foram convocados e “todo o efetivo disponível está empenhado na Esplanada. Férias são afastamento legal e não serão interrompidas”, informou por nota. Até o fechamento desta matéria, apenas uma ocorrência por furto havia sido registrada.
