O Governo Federal vai repassar mais de R$ 28 milhões para a continuidade de cinco obras de saneamento básico no estado da Bahia.
Em Salvador, os recursos serão usados na canalização e revestimentos na calha do Rio Jaguaribe e do Canal Mangabeira, além de melhorias na área de atendimento de dois reservatórios e ampliação do sistema de esgotamento sanitário da cidade.
Já em Camaçari, o repasse será usado na ampliação do sistema de esgotamento sanitário na localidade conhecida como Arembepe. E em Alagoinhas, o foco é a ampliação do sistema de esgotamento sanitário.
No total, mais de 118 mil famílias serão beneficiadas e cerca de 20 mil empregos serão gerados.
O ministro do Desenvolvimento Regional, Rogério Marinho, destaca a importância de se investir em saneamento básico. Ele também ressalta que concluir as obras em andamento é uma prioridade do Governo Federal.
“Nós sabemos o benefício que o tratamento de água, de esgotos, a canalização adequada dos córregos propicia às cidades. Então, nós estamos fazendo todo o esforço para que não haja nenhuma interrupção do cronograma físico-financeiro dessas obras. Desde a nossa chegada aqui, por orientação do presidente, não tem faltado recursos e nós esperamos brevemente estar concluindo essas obras e que elas sirvam à população.”
No total, o Governo Federal vai repassar mais de 150 milhões de reais para a continuidade de obras de saneamento básico no Distrito Federal e em 18 estados do País.
