Ministério da Justiça investigará cobranças abusivas por comerciantes

A Advocacia-Geral da União (AGU) notificará, ainda nesta quarta-feira (15), a Polícia Federal para investigar os responsáveis pela onda de fake news relacionadas à taxação do Pix. O órgão também pedirá que a Secretaria Nacional do Consumidor (Senacon) do Ministério da Justiça investigue cobranças adicionais abusivas por comerciantes que estabeleceram preços diferenciados entre o Pix e o dinheiro.
O advogado-geral da União, Jorge Messias, anunciou as medidas, logo após o ministro da Fazenda, Fernando Haddad, e o secretário especial da Receita Federal, Robinson Barreirinhas, anunciarem a revogação da instrução normativa que modernizou a fiscalização de movimentações financeiras e a edição de uma medida provisória para reforçar a gratuidade, o sigilo bancário e a isenção de impostos do Pix.
“Nós determinamos que a Advocacia-Geral da União ainda hoje notifique a Polícia Federal para a abertura de inquérito policial para identificar todos os atores nas redes sociais que geraram essa desordem informacional, criaram essa narrativa e fizeram com que pessoas de boa-fé, comerciantes e cidadãos em geral caíssem no golpe contra a economia popular”, disse Messias.
A AGU, informou Messias, identificou pelo menos dois tipos de crimes. O crime contra a economia popular e o crime de estelionato e falsidade ideológica por fraudadores que usaram mensagens falsas com os símbolos da Receita Federal, do Ministério da Fazenda e do governo federal para cobrarem falsos impostos sobre a utilização do Pix.
Em relação às práticas abusivas por comerciantes, Messias informou que a AGU notificou a Senacon para que abra um inquérito para investigar todos os crimes relacionados às relações de consumo. Ele também pediu que a Senacon e os Procons estaduais promovam campanhas sobre o uso do Pix e divulguem informações corretas para a população.
“Essas campanhas são necessárias para que a população fique protegida e não venha mais a cair em novos golpes com o uso do Pix”, explicou Messias.
Nesta manhã, o ministro da Fazenda, Fernando Haddad, havia anunciado que o governo pretendia acionar a Justiça contra a onda de fake news associadas a uma taxação do Pix e contra os fraudadores que aplicam golpes.
“A AGU foi envolvida para tomar providências judiciais contra os golpistas. Quem está divulgando fake news está patrocinando organizações criminosas no país, que estão atuando, mandando boleto para a casa das pessoas, cobrando a mais indevidamente, dizendo que estão sendo taxados”, disse Haddad.
