Segundo o Professor de Pneumologia do Centro Universitário São Camilo, Dr. Nilton Gonçalves, o inverno potencializa significativamente os riscos respiratórios. A estação do ano favorece o aumento da transmissão de vírus como Resfriado, Gripe, Influenza e Covid, elevando a frequência de Rinofaringites e o risco de Pneumonia. Doenças Pulmonares pré-existentes, como a Doença Pulmonar Obstrutiva Crônica e Asma, tendem a se agravar neste período.
Os riscos cardiovasculares também aumentam consideravelmente durante nos dias mais frios. Há maior probabilidade de infartos, elevação da Pressão Arterial, aumento do risco de Trombose e maior estresse para o Sistema Circulatório. Os impactos não se limitam apenas ao aspecto físico, mas se estendem também à Saúde Mental.
Este período pode desencadear importantes alterações psicológicas, com maior incidência de depressão e aumento de casos de Transtorno Afetivo Sazonal. A tendência ao isolamento social e a redução nos níveis de vitamina D contribuem para esse quadro. Simultaneamente, manifestações dermatológicas se intensificam, com aumento de Ressecamento Cutâneo, Dermatites e Eczemas.
Alguns grupos mostram-se mais vulneráveis durante esta estação. Idosos, crianças, portadores de doenças crônicas, indivíduos com limitações físicas ou mentais, pessoas em tratamentos medicamentosos específicos e desnutridos precisam de atenção especial e uma das razões é imunidade mais baixa.
Para minimizar os riscos, os Especialistas recomendam uma série de estratégias preventivas. É fundamental evitar aglomerações, manter ambientes ventilados, usar máscaras em locais públicos. Para o Professor Nilton Gonçalves, a vacinação é fundamental neste período. “Vacinas contra Influenza, reforço da Covid-19, Vírus Sincicial Respiratório e Pneumocócica (para grupos específicos) podem fazer significativa diferença na proteção individual e coletiva”, afirmou.
Para evitar os outros problemas de saúde, é importante manter-se hidratado e alimentar-se adequadamente, além de manter a prática regular de exercícios e ter uma alimentação equilibrada. Compreender os riscos e adotar medidas preventivas pode ser determinante para atravessar o inverno de forma saudável. Cada indivíduo deve estar atento às suas particularidades e buscar orientação médica quando necessário.
