Estudantes da rede estadual de Ensino dos municípios de Caatiba, Itapetinga, Itambé e Itororó participaram, no último dia 30 de abril, da Terceira Fase (Polo 3) dos Jogos Escolares da Bahia (JEB), que ocorreu no Ginásio Municipal de Caatiba. O evento, promovido pela Secretaria de Estado da Educação da Bahia, com apoio da Superintendência dos Desportos do Estado da Bahia (Sudesb), autarquia vinculada à Secretaria de Estado do Trabalho, Emprego, Renda e Esporte da Bahia, busca estimular a formação dos alunos e integrar a cultura esportiva ao currículo da Educação Básica, por meio da disciplina de Educação Física.
A estudante Yasmin Santos, de 16 anos, do 2º ano do Colégio Estadual Gelasio Alves dos Santos, em Caatiba, que competiu na modalidade Baleado, avançou para a próxima fase. “Participar dos Jogos Escolares é uma experiência muito gratificante, pois os esportes contribuem para nossa Saúde Física e Mental. Estou animada para competir na Etapa Territorial”, comentou.
Micael Adrian dos Santos, também de 16 anos e do 2º ano da mesma Escola, participou da competição de Futsal e ressaltou a importância do evento. “Gosto muito de participar e competir com outros estudantes, é sempre muito divertido”, disse.
Após esta Etapa, os alunos classificados avançarão para a Etapa Territorial, programada para ocorrer entre 28 e 30 de maio em Itapetinga.
Os Jogos Escolares da Bahia 2025 abrangem uma variedade de competições coletivas, como Handebol, Futsal, Basquete, Voleibol e Xadrez, além de modalidades individuais como Atletismo, Ginástica Rítmica, Vôlei de Praia, Ciclismo, Natação, Badminton, Judô, Wrestling [uma arte marcial que utiliza técnicas de agarramento, como luta em clinch (“agarre”, ou “pega”), arremessos, derrubadas, chaves, pinos e outros golpes do grappling (luta corpo a corpo) e Tênis de Mesa. As seletivas para a Etapa Territorial estão agendadas para abril e maio; a Interterritorial ocorrerá entre maio e junho; e a Estadual, em julho. Os vencedores da Etapa Estadual representarão a Bahia na Etapa Nacional dos Jogos da Juventude, organizada pelo Comitê Olímpico do Brasil (COB), que será realizada entre 10 e 25 de setembro deste ano, em Brasília.
