Sessão em Brasília será em 20 de maio; contribuições online sobre a Rota 2 de Julho podem ser enviadas até 29 de maio

A Agência Nacional de Transportes Terrestres (Antt) informa que a realização da última sessão da Audiência Pública nº 2/2025, relativa à nova concessão da BR-116/324/BA, ganhou nova data. A sessão pública ocorrerá na próxima terça-feira, dia 20 de maio, no auditório do edifício-sede da Antt em Brasília/DF.

A alteração da data de realização da Audiência Pública tem como objetivo dar a oportunidade de mais pessoas participarem do processo, ampliando o prazo para os interessados em participar presencialmente se organizarem para comparecer.

O Projeto, denominado Rota 2 de Julho, prevê R$ 24 bilhões em investimentos ao longo de 30 anos, com foco na ampliação de capacidade, modernização da infraestrutura e mais segurança para os usuários. A nova concessão abrange 663 quilômetros de rodovias, incluindo importantes trechos entre Salvador, Feira de Santana e Vitória da Conquista. Entre as melhorias previstas estão 356 km de duplicações, faixas adicionais, passarelas, viadutos e vias laterais. Atualmente, o trecho é administrado pela ViaBahia, que terá o contrato encerrado em 15 de maio.

Já foram realizadas sessões públicas relativas ao Projeto de Concessão em Salvador/BA, Feira de Santana/BA, e Vitória da Conquista/BA. A sessão de Brasília encerra a Audiência Pública.

A imprensa está convidada a acompanhar a sessão pública. Não é necessário credenciamento prévio da imprensa. Os encontros têm como objetivo ouvir a sociedade e aprimorar o projeto antes da publicação do edital definitivo.
