A Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa) publicou nesta sexta-feira (12) a atualização das principais perguntas e respostas sobre a rotulagem nutricional de alimentos embalados. O documento conta com 207 questões com orientações sobre o marco regulatório da rotulagem nutricional de alimentos.
“Foi identificado que a forma de declaração das informações nutricionais nos rótulos dos alimentos dificultava seu entendimento pelos consumidores. Assim, a revisão conduzida buscou aprimorar as regras para declaração da rotulagem nutricional, com o objetivo de facilitar sua compreensão pelos consumidores brasileiros”, informou a Anvisa.
A intenção, segundo a agência, é que as modificações realizadas no documento ajudem no uso das informações nutricionais para a realização de escolhas alimentares conscientes e adequadas às necessidades individuais do consumidor.
“As alterações aperfeiçoaram a visibilidade e a legibilidade das informações nutricionais, reduziram as situações que geravam engano quanto à composição nutricional, facilitaram a comparação nutricional entre alimentos, aprimoraram a precisão dos valores nutricionais declarados e ampliaram a quantidade de alimentos que traz essa informação”, explicou a Anvisa.
Entenda
Dentre as mudanças estão regras sobre a rotulagem nutricional de adoçantes dietéticos. Nesses casos, a rotulagem deve conter a declaração de advertência “Diabéticos: contém…”, seguida do nome dos mono ou dissacarídeos, em negrito, no caso de glicose, sacarose ou frutose; além da orientação “Consumir preferencialmente sob orientação de nutricionista ou médico”.
Segundo a Anvisa, também foram revisadas perguntas e respostas no intuito de fornecer maior clareza e precisão acerca de açúcares adicionados presentes em ingredientes usados como fonte de fibras alimentares “à luz da diversidade de nomenclatura, composição e métodos empregados na produção destes ingredientes”.
Foram incluídas ainda perguntas e respostas para esclarecer alguns requisitos de legibilidade da declaração simplificada e da declaração linear da tabela nutricional, para que esse tipo de informação tenha identidade visual única.
“Espera-se que as orientações possam auxiliar os fabricantes de alimentos e os órgãos do SNVS [Sistema Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária] na correta implementação e fiscalização dos regulamentos em questão”, diz a Anvisa.
