Fábrica da Covaxin na Índia teve certificação negada

Duas empresas que produzem vacinas contra covid-19, a Janssen-Cilag Farmacêutica e a Inovat Indústria Farmacêutica/União Química, responsável pela produção da Sputnik V obtiveram certificação de boas práticas de fabricação da Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa) nesta terça-feira (30). A certificação é o documento necessário para obtenção do registro de medicamentos biológicos. Ela garante que as empresas cumprem com as boas práticas necessárias para assegurar a qualidade, eficácia e segurança dos medicamentos.
No caso da Janssem, a gerência geral de inspeção e fiscalização sanitária da agência concluiu a análise das informações enviadas para as três novas empresas incluídas em sua cadeia global de fabricação. Essas empresas participam das etapas do insumo farmacêutico ativo biológico, bem como da formulação e envase da vacina desenvolvida pela Janssen-Cilag. Em nota, a Anvisa informa que finalizou as análises de todas as fábricas citadas no pedido de autorização para uso emergencial, protocolado em 24 de março de 2021. “Todas as empresas envolvidas estão devidamente certificadas”, ressaltou a agência em nota.
O processo de certificação da empresa Inovat Indústria Farmacêutica, do grupo União Química, localizada em Guarulhos, ocorreu para a verificação da condições técnico operacionais da empresa, no período de 8 a 12 de março de 2021, devido às modificações na área fabril efetuadas para adequar o processo de fabricação da Vacina Sputnik V. A Inovat é a fábrica indicada pela União Química para realizar as operações de formulação, esterilização e envase da vacina (processo asséptico), com o insumo farmacêutico ativo que deve ser fabricado nas instalações da Bthek, em Brasília (DF).
Segundo a Anvisa, no caso da Bthek, a União Química permanece em processo para a transferência tecnológica e instalação dos equipamentos necessários para a fabricação do insumo da vacina e ainda não requisitou a inspeção para início das atividades. “A inspeção será realizada assim que a fábrica informar que concluiu a transferência de tecnologia e qualificação das instalações”, ressaltou a agência.
Certificado negado
Nesta terça-feira (30) a Anvisa informou que negou a certificação da fábrica da empresa – Bharat Biotech International, responsável pela fabricação do Insumo Farmacêutico Ativo Biológico, da Vacina Covaxin e pela formulação e envase da vacina. A inspeção nas instalações da fábrica da empresa localizada na Índia, foi feita do dia 1º a 5 de março de 2021.
“A empresa poderá finalizar todos os estudos, validações e processos a propostos em seu plano de ação para posteriormente requisitar à Anvisa uma nova certificação. Neste momento, deverão ser apresentados os estudos e alterações propostas concluídos e efetivados na rotina fabril, o que permitiria a avaliação da Anvisa e, mediante resultados satisfatórios, a concessão da certificação da empresa”, explicou agência.
