Os mandatos dos deputados Zé Raimundo (estadual) e Waldenor Pereira (federal), ambos do PT, destinaram à AECOFABA – Associação das Escolas das Comunidades e Famílias Agrícolas da Bahia, no município de Riacho de Santana, investimentos de recursos de emendas parlamentares no valor de R$ 40 mil para a aquisição de equipamentos elétricos.
A entidade já recebeu parte dos equipamentos comprados através da Secretaria Estadual de Educação (SEC): dois retroprojetores; dois aparelhos de TV de 50 polegadas; quatro aparelhos de ar condicionado; dois computadores completos e uma geladeira 400lt. De acordo com o acompanhamento da assessoria dos mandatos, faltam chegar: uma TV de 43′ polegadas, um forno elétrico de bancada, um freezer horizontal e oito ventiladores de pé.
Além de apoiar com os novos aparelhos, é histórica a atuação dos dois deputados para fortalecer a educação no campo, em vários tipos de ações. Zé Raimundo computa entre os resultados mais relevantes desse apoio a implantação do primeiro curso de Agroecologia do Brasil, financiada com recursos de emenda do deputado Waldenor Pereira . Em nível de licenciatura, o curso teve início em 16 de julho de 2024, em Riacho de Santana, nas instalações da Faculdade de Agroecologia do Pequeno Agricultor, vinculada à Aecofaba.
