Em ato de ampla representatividade denominado “Todos Pelo Novo Fundeb”, realizado hoje (27) no Salão Verde da Câmara Federal, o deputado Waldenor Pereira falou em nome da bancada e do Núcleo de Educação do PT no Congresso Nacional, reforçando a necessidade da manutenção do Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica e Valorização dos Profissionais da Educação.
“O Núcleo de Educação do PT tem priorizado o debate a respeito da aprovação da permanência e manutenção do Fundeb, sem o qual não haverá educação pública no país”, disse Waldenor Pereira, em seu pronunciamento durante o evento realizado por parlamentares e representantes de entidades de educação como: UNE, UBES, ANPG, CNTE, CONTEE, Campanha Nacional Pelo Direito à Educação, FNPE, Frente Parlamentar Mista da Educação, FENET, SINASEFE e FASUBRA
O ato foi seguido de reunião com o presidente da Câmara, deputado Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), quando Waldenor Pereira esteve presente, ao lado do senador Jaques Wagner, e vários parlamentares que foram solicitar apoio para a aprovação da PEC 15/2015 (Proposta de Emenda Constitucional), que torna permanente a manutenção do Fundeb.
Rodrigo Maia se comprometeu a ajudar na negociação para um entendimento e votação da proposta, que segundo Waldenor foi um resultado positivo à iniciativa para pressionar o Congresso Nacional. O objetivo é evitar a queda da legislação que financia, desde 2006, mais de 60% dos gastos na educação básica, da creche ao ensino médio. O modelo atual validade até 2020 e, segundo os manifestantes, corre risco de não ser renovado ou ser precarizado pelo governo Bolsonaro.
“Vamos ampliar o enfrentamento à possibilidade de extinção da Lei do Fundeb, hoje uma das principais fontes de custeio da educação básica no país”, defendeu Waldenor, que em seu pronunciamento no Salão Verde fez duras críticas ao Governo Bolsonaro, cuja política tem como alvo principal atacar a rede pública de ensino.
Atualmente, três propostas de PECs que tratam da permanência do Fundeb tramitam no Legislativo, dentre as quais a PEC 15/2015, cuja relatora é a deputada federal Professora Dorinha Seabra Rezende (DEM-TO), presente no ato e na reunião com Maia, como também o presidente da Comissão Especial do tema, o deputado baiano Bacelar (PODEMOS). A PEC 15 é defendida pelas entidades e determina a ampliação da participação da União no financiamento do Fundeb para 15% em 2021 – hoje essa cota é de 10% –, até chegar a 40% em 2031. O projeto é contestado pelo governo que, até o momento, não apresentou nenhuma proposta concreta sobre o tema, omissão que pode provocar dificuldades orçamentárias para os municípios.
