Em 2025, o deputado federal Waldenor Pereira (PT) consolidou uma atuação intensa e articulada, em parceria com o deputado estadual Zé Raimundo, alcançando mais de 50 municípios das regiões Sudoeste, Serra Geral, Vale do Paramirim, Chapada Diamantina e Médio São Francisco. O mandato combinou forte presença no Congresso Nacional com investimentos estratégicos voltados ao desenvolvimento regional e à melhoria da qualidade de vida da população.
Na Câmara dos Deputados, Waldenor atuou como titular das Comissões de Educação, Cultura e Legislação Participativa e integrou Frentes Parlamentares relevantes, como as do Livro, Leitura e Escrita – da qual é vice-presidente –, Defesa dos Servidores Públicos, Cafeicultura, Agricultura Familiar, Educação Pública, Cultura e Meio Ambiente. Entre os 39 deputados da bancada baiana, destacou-se como o 12º mais produtivo em proposições apresentadas e o 13º em pronunciamentos na Tribuna.
Alinhado ao Partido dos Trabalhadores e às pautas coletivas, Waldenor votou contra as PECs da Blindagem, da Dosimetria e da Devastação e a favor da isenção do Imposto de Renda para rendas de até R$ 5 mil, do novo Plano Nacional de Educação e da Aposentadoria Especial dos Agentes Comunitários de Saúde. “Minhas votações no Congresso Nacional são, sempre, em defesa dos trabalhadores, da democracia e da soberania nacional”, afirma.
A Saúde foi a principal prioridade de investimentos do mandato, com mais de R$ 30 milhões em emendas parlamentares em 2025. Os recursos e articulações políticas garantiram avanços como a luta pela estadualização da Unacon de Caetité, a requalificação do Hospital Magalhães Neto, em Brumado, e a ampliação do Hospital Regional de Guanambi, com novos leitos de UTI e Centro Cirúrgico. Também foram beneficiados os Hospitais de Livramento de Nossa Senhora e Rio de Contas, além das Santas Casas de Vitória da Conquista, Poções e Caculé.
Vitória da Conquista teve atenção especial dos mandatos de Waldenor e Zé Raimundo, em parceria com o Governo do Estado. Somente em emendas, Waldenor destinou mais de R$ 12 milhões aos Hospitaisl Geral, Esaú Matos e Afrânio Peixoto.
A articulação com o Executivo Estadual também resultou na inauguração do Centro de Radioterapia e do Hemoba e a instalação de UTI no Afrânio Peixoto, além do anúncio de mais de R$ 80 milhões para uma total reestruturação do Hospital de Base de Vitória da Conquista, pelo governador Jerônimo Rodrigues.
Na Educação, o deputado destinou R$ 8,692 milhões em emendas para o Ensino Superior (Uesb, Ufba, IFBa), somados a mais de R$ 500 milhões do Governo da Bahia aplicados na construção e ampliação de Colégios de Tempo Integral nas regiões atendidas pelos mandatos.
A agricultura familiar recebeu atenção especial em mais de 40 municípios, com a entrega de tratores, implementos agrícolas, veículos e retroescavadeiras, além de ações voltadas aos recursos hídricos, como limpeza de mais de 700 aguadas, entrega de mais de 5.000 caixas d’água e implantação de dezenas de Sistemas de Abastecimento de Água.
Entre as inovações do ano, destacou-se o investimento na Proteção Animal em Vitória da Conquista, com apoio a um projeto inédito da Escola de Medicina Veterinária da UFBA, financiado com R$ 1 milhão, que implantou o maior Programa de Castração e Cuidado de Cães e Gatos em Situação de Rua já realizado no município. O modelo deverá ser expandido para outras cidades.
Na Infraestrutura, foram inauguradas estradas estratégicas, como as que ligam Bate-Pé a Pradoso, acesso a São Sebastião em Vitória da Conquista; Condeuba a Jacaraci; Jacaraci a Urandi e Rio do Antônio à Ibiassucê. As rodovias que ligam Caetanos e Barra do Choça a Vitória da Conquista, se encontram em execução.
O mandato também destinou recursos para a construção de 11 Praças Públicas em Bairros e Distritos conquistenses e outras 8 Praças e 12 pavimentações de ruas em diversos municípios.
A Cultura foi fortalecida com mais de R$ 6 milhões em emendas parlamentares, apoiando Feiras Literárias, Festivais Musicais, Festas Juninas, Exposições de Artes, Eventos de Capoeira e Concertos Natalinos, ampliando o acesso cultural e valorizando a identidade dos territórios.
A Assistência Social e a Economia Solidária receberam atenção especial do mandato em 2025, apoiando Associações de Mulheres, Pastorais de Menores, Clube de Mães e Associações de Pessoas com Deficiência, que somaram mais de R$ 5 milhões em emendas parlamentares.
A Segurança Pública também integrou o balanço de 2025, com recursos, da ordem de R$ 5 milhões, para a aquisição de viaturas, armamento , equipamentos e apoio à Polícia Federal, Polícia Militar, Polícia Civil, IML e Corpo de Bombeiros, fortalecendo a segurança e o combate ao crime no interior da Bahia.
