O Sudeste possui a maior densidade e proporção de médicos, com 3,76 profissionais por mil habitantes

No Brasil, há atualmente 575.930 médicos ativos, o que equivale a uma proporção de 2,81 profissionais por cada mil habitantes. As informações são da Demografia Médica CFM – Dados Oficiais sobre o Perfil dos Médicos Brasileiros 2024. Para o Conselho Federal de Medicina (CFM), o aumento foi motivado por fatores como a ampliação do ensino médico e o aumento na procura por serviços de saúde.
O maior crescimento no número de médicos ocorreu entre 2022 e 2023, quando o número foi de 538.095 para 572.960, representando um aumento de 6,5%.

Paulo Bonilha, pediatra e sanitarista do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), afirma que esse número deve ser comemorado, pois há cerca de 12 anos, o Brasil tinha aproximadamente 1,2 médicos para cada mil habitantes.
“Isso representa o maior acesso da população à médicos. É uma vitória de uma política pública do Ministério da Saúde, o programa Mais Médicos, que investiu na ampliação de faculdades de medicina. E o estímulo à vinda de médicos do exterior, emergencialmente, para garantir a assistência à população brasileira”, aponta o pediatra.
Apesar do aumento de médicos no Brasil, Bonilha destaca que o número está distante da recomendação da Organização para Cooperação e Desenvolvimento Econômico (OCDE), que é de 3,5 médicas para cada mil habitantes.
“O Brasil vai atingir esse número por volta de 2030, só daqui 6 anos. Por outro lado, atingindo essa meta recomendada, ainda tem outros desafios a serem enfrentados, por exemplo, a qualidade desses profissionais”, explica.
Distribuição
De acordo com o estudo, o aumento no número de médicos ao longo das últimas décadas não foi acompanhado por uma distribuição igualitária em todo o país. O Sudeste possui a maior densidade e proporção de médicos, com 3,76 profissionais por mil habitantes e abriga 51% do total de médicos.
Por outro lado, o Norte apresenta a menor proporção de médicos, com apenas 1,73 profissionais por mil habitantes. No Nordeste, embora contenha 19,3% dos médicos e 26,8% da população, o número é de 2,22 médicos por mil habitantes.
Cesar Lima, especialista em orçamento, afirma que o estudo remonta um problema estrutural antigo do Brasil, e que apesar de programas como o Mais Médicos terem conseguido resolver parte disso, ainda é um desafio.
“Enquanto no Sul temos quase oito médicos para cada mil habitantes, no interior do Amazonas não chegamos a um quarto de profissionais para cada mil habitantes, nós temos 0,2 médicos para cada mil. Eles preferem ficar em grandes centros, nas cidades maiores, até pelas condições de trabalho. Você tem equipamentos, mais capacidade de atendimento e de suporte à vida do que no interior do Amazonas ou do Maranhão, por exemplo”, ressalta Lima.
Nas capitais, a média de médicos por mil habitantes atinge o nível de 7,03, enquanto nas cidades do interior o número cai para 1,89.

Companies zum Bau eines Hotelcasinos diskutiert, konnte
aber keine Einigung erzielen. Stattdessen ist es über Fußgängerbrücken mit den benachbarten Casinos
im Süden (Excalibur, über die Tropicana Avenue) und
im Osten (MGM Grand) verbunden.
