O Brasil registrou 1.660.190 casos prováveis de dengue em 2025, segundo a atualização mais recente do Ministério da Saúde. No mesmo período, a doença provocou 1.762 mortes, enquanto outros 200 óbitos ainda estão sob investigação. Os dados constam no Painel de Monitoramento das Arboviroses da pasta.
Segundo o ministério, esses números representam uma queda de 75% nos casos prováveis de dengue e 72% no número de mortes em relação a 2024, quando foram contabilizados 6.563.561 casos prováveis e 6.321 óbitos.
Recortes por região e estado
Entre as regiões do país, o Sudeste lidera em número de casos prováveis, com 1.132.304 registros, seguido pelo Sul (222.171), Centro-Oeste (162.441), Nordeste (102.647) e Norte (40.643).
O mesmo padrão se repete em relação aos óbitos. O Sudeste concentra o maior número de mortes por dengue, com 1.288 registros. Em seguida aparecem as regiões Sul (219), Centro-Oeste (145), Nordeste (64) e Norte (46).

SUS adquire 3,9 milhões de doses da vacina contra dengue
Na última sexta-feira (19), o Ministério da Saúde assinou um contrato para a compra da primeira vacina contra a dengue de dose única do mundo, produzida 100% no Brasil pelo Instituto Butantan. O investimento é de R$ 368 milhões para a aquisição de 3,9 milhões de doses, que serão ofertadas exclusivamente pelo Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) a partir de 2026.
O novo imunizante protege contra os quatro sorotipos da dengue e apresenta eficácia de 74,7% contra a forma sintomática da doença em pessoas de 12 a 59 anos. Além disso, oferece 89% de proteção contra casos graves e com sinais de alarme.
Para o infectologista Julival Ribeiro, membro da Sociedade Brasileira de Infectologia, a iniciativa representa um avanço significativo no combate à doença. “Essa vacina pode ser aplicada em dose única, o que é uma diferença muito importante em relação às outras disponíveis no mundo. Isso é muito importante, porque ajuda na aderência da população a ser vacinada”, ressalta.
Prioridade para profissionais de saúde
Do total de doses adquiridas, 1,3 milhão serão destinadas prioritariamente aos profissionais da Atenção Primária à Saúde que atuam na linha de frente do SUS. Estão incluídos agentes comunitários de saúde, agentes de combate às endemias, enfermeiros, técnicos de enfermagem e médicos que realizam visitas domiciliares. A estratégia deve começar no fim de janeiro de 2026.
A agente de saúde Naita de Souza, de Arceburgo, no sul de Minas Gerais, relata que a Secretaria Municipal de Saúde já entrou em contato com o Ministério da Saúde, mas ainda não há previsão para o recebimento das doses. Mesmo assim, ela afirma estar ansiosa para se vacinar.
“Eu já tive dengue, os sintomas são horríveis. Se vai ter uma vacina que vai nos proteger contra a dengue, para evitar de ter os sintomas que eu tive, eu prefiro tomar, me cuidar e me proteger”, conta.
Ampliação da cobertura vacinal
Com a chegada das doses, o Ministério da Saúde adotará, já no início de 2026, uma estratégia para avaliar o impacto do novo imunizante na dinâmica de transmissão da dengue. A ação prevê uma aceleração da vacinação em dois municípios-piloto: Botucatu (SP) e Maranguape (CE), com público-alvo formado por adolescentes e adultos de 15 a 59 anos. Uma terceira cidade, Nova Lima (MG), também poderá integrar a iniciativa.
A vacinação da população em geral está condicionada ao aumento da produção do imunizante, viabilizado por uma parceria estratégica entre Brasil e China. O acordo prevê a transferência da tecnologia desenvolvida pelo Instituto Butantan para a empresa chinesa WuXi Vaccines, o que pode ampliar a produção nacional em até 30 vezes.
A estratégia de imunização começará pelos adultos a partir de 59 anos, com ampliação gradual para faixas etárias mais jovens, até alcançar pessoas a partir de 15 anos.
Atualmente, o SUS também disponibiliza a vacina contra a dengue produzida por um laboratório japonês, indicada para adolescentes de 10 a 14 anos e aplicada em duas doses. Desde a incorporação do imunizante, em 2024, 7,4 milhões de doses já foram aplicadas. Entre 2024 e 2025, foram distribuídas 11,1 milhões de doses, das quais 7,8 milhões foram efetivamente administradas.
Prevenção continua essencial
Em novembro deste ano, o Ministério da Saúde lançou a campanha nacional “Não dê chance para dengue, zika e chikungunya”, voltada à prevenção das arboviroses. A campanha segue em andamento. O enfrentamento dessas doenças depende da atuação conjunta entre governo e sociedade. Entre as principais medidas de prevenção estão:
- uso de telas em janelas e repelentes em áreas de transmissão;
- eliminação de recipientes que possam acumular água e se tornar criadouro do mosquito Aedes Aegypti;
- vedação de caixas d’água e reservatórios;
- limpeza de calhas, lajes e ralos;
- apoio às ações de controle realizadas pelos profissionais do SUS.
