Mais pobres e casas chefiadas por mulheres tiveram maior impacto

A pesquisa Epicovid 2.0: Inquérito nacional para avaliação da real dimensão da pandemia de Covid-19 no Brasil, realizada pelo Ministério da Saúde, mostra que 48,6% dos brasileiros relataram redução na renda devido à pandemia e 47,4% enfrentaram insegurança alimentar, ou seja, pessoas que não tinham a garantia de prover seu alimento diariamente. 
Os impactos foram mais frequentes nos mais pobres e nos domicílios chefiados por mulheres. Cerca de 34,9% das pessoas perderam o emprego e 21,5% interromperam os estudos durante a pandemia. Segundo o estudo, 14,7% dos entrevistados registraram morte de um familiar devido à Covid-19.
A pesquisa mostra que mais de 28% da população brasileira, o equivalente a 60 milhões de pessoas, relatou ter sido infectada pela doença.

O Epicovid 2.0 foi conduzido em 133 cidades brasileiras, com uma amostra de 33.250 entrevistas. As pessoas entrevistadas foram selecionadas aleatoriamente, com apenas uma pessoa por residência respondendo ao questionário.
Sob coordenação do Ministério da Saúde, a pesquisa foi realizada pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel), com participação da Universidade Católica de Pelotas (UCPel), Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre (UFCSPA), Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz) e Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).
