Brumado tem se destacado no cenário educacional baiano ao apresentar resultados consistentes na alfabetização das crianças em idade escolar. Na atual gestão do prefeito Fabrício Abrantes Pires de Souza Oliveira (Avante), o município vem consolidando a Educação como prioridade, transformando discursos em ações concretas.
Dados divulgados pelo Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (Inep), autarquia vinculada ao Ministério da Educação, no último dia 1º, confirmam o impacto das políticas públicas implementadas pela Secretaria Municipal de Educação. Em 2025, primeiro ano da atual Administração, o percentual de crianças alfabetizadas na idade certa saltou de 42,15% em 2024 para 69,01%, um crescimento expressivo de 63,72%.
O Indicador Criança Alfabetizada, que avalia o domínio das habilidades essenciais de leitura e escrita por alunos do 2º ano do Ensino Fundamental, funciona como um termômetro da qualidade da Educação Básica. Os números refletem tanto as práticas pedagógicas adotadas quanto os investimentos realizados desde a Educação Infantil.
A secretária municipal de Educação, Ana Cristina dos Santos Silva, tem destacado que os avanços são fruto de um esforço coletivo, construído diretamente em cada Escola da rede municipal de Ensino. Segundo ela, a formação continuada dos professores, o acompanhamento pedagógico e a avaliação sistemática da aprendizagem têm feito diferença concreta na vida das crianças.
O prefeito Fabrício Abrantes também ressaltou a importância do indicador, afirmando que os resultados comprovam o impacto das políticas públicas voltadas para a Educação Infantil e para o fortalecimento da aprendizagem nos primeiros anos do Ensino Fundamental. Para o gestor, o avanço registrado é um sinal claro de que Brumado está no caminho certo para garantir uma Educação Básica de qualidade, reforçando a posição de município comprometido com o futuro das novas gerações.
