Repartições públicas; 24º Batalhão da Polícia Militar e a Polícia Civil, que desenvolvem serviços de prevenção ostensivos na cidade e zona rural, atuam no combate à criminalidade. Essas ocorrências, tiram o sossego de muita gente, na cidade e na zona rural.
Muitas pessoas de outras cidades e Estados migraram ou migram para cá, em busca de dias melhores e oportunidades de trabalho – perspectivas que vislumbram bem-estar social – e aqui são recebidas de braços abertos pelo povo acolhedor, de índole ordeira, pacífica e de comportamento harmonioso. Esse clima salutar proporciona aos adventícios o campo ideal para implantarem e desenvolverem os seus projetos e objetivos socioeconômicos e educacionais, planejamento do futuro familiar e pessoal, tornam-se brumadenses por opção e/ou por adoção, contribuindo para o progresso local.

Brumado se configura, então, como uma cidade cosmopolita.
Brumado só tem a agradecer aos seus imigrantes e dizer-lhes que fazem parte de uma comunidade que tem orgulho de tê-los acolhido. Juntos com os naturais do lugar, esses imigrantes constroem a pujança deste município promissor, que se tem destacado pelo dinamismo de sua gente – gente de todos os lugares – irmanados no mesmo propósito, gente que se faz presente pelo esforço do trabalho, pela contribuição intelectual, pela grandeza vocacional artística e profissional; gente amada por esta terra abençoada por BOM JESUS.
Pelos seus atributos, a cidade devota-lhes as merecidas honras e homenagens nesta data especial do aniversário da cidade que adotaram para viverem em paz e harmonia com os nativos.
A família ‘Torres’, imbuída dos sentimentos de filhos desta terra, adotivos e nativos, promoverem e promovem iniciativas socioeconômicas, políticas, culturais e administrativas, participando de todas elas, como tantas outras famílias que enriquecem o cotidiano desta terra, objetivando o progresso e o desenvolvimento do lugar. Todos os membros dos ‘Torres’ acreditaram e acreditam no potencial deste município, investiram e investem maciçamente nos seus projetos, nas diversas atividades, pois que, aqui vivem e mourejam.
Ouso tomar a liberdade de, em meu nome, como Cidadão Brumadense, título, outorgado pela Câmara Municipal de Vereadores de Brumado, por indicação do vereador José de Souza Ribeiro, dizer do orgulho por estarmos partilhando com os patrícios autóctones das comemorações pelo aniversário desta cidade.
Prestamos homenagens nesta data especial de aniversário, como a melhor, a mais amada, a mais ordeira, a mais bela, a mais altaneira das cidades.
