Brumado viveu no domingo (18), um momento histórico com a realização da primeira Cavalgada de Santos Reis. O evento foi organizado pela Prefeitura Municipal, através da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura, Esporte e Lazer. O evento, que reforça o compromisso da atual Administração Municipal com o resgate das tradições culturais que foram abandonadas por seu antecessor, reunindo um público estimado em mais de dez mil pessoas, superando as mais otimistas expectativas dos organizadores.
Desde o início da manhã de sábado, moradores e visitantes lotaram as ruas e áreas próximas ao percurso, demonstrando entusiasmo e apoio à iniciativa que buscou valorizar a tradição e a cultura local. A cavalgada contou com a participação de mais de setecentos cavaleiros e amazonas, além de grupos de moradores que se uniram ao evento, criando uma atmosfera de união e celebração.
A previsão inicial da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura, Esporte e Lazer era de aproximadamente cinco mil participantes, mas o número surpreendeu a todos, dobrando as expectativas iniciais. “Ficamos extremamente felizes com a adesão do público. Essa participação mostra o quanto a cultura do nosso município é forte e presente na vida das pessoas” afirmou o coordenador do evento, secretário municipal de Cultura, Esporte e Lazer José Ribeiro Neves.
A programação incluiu ainda apresentações musicais e culturais, comidas típicas e atividades para toda a família, com um espaço reservado no Parque Santa Inês para as crianças, oferecendo diversas atividades, transformando a Cavalgada em uma verdadeira festa popular.
O prefeito Fabrício Abrantes Pires de Souza Oliveira e a primeira-dama Abiara Meira Dias, participaram da Cavalgada e acompanharam a programação no parque Santa Inês, recepcionando, além de membros do primeiro escalão do Governo Municipal e autoridades locais, prefeitos e representantes de municípios da região, ressaltou a importância de eventos que promovem a identidade cultural e fortalecem o turismo no município, fomentando a economia.
O sucesso da primeira edição promete consolidar a Cavalgada como tradição anual no âmbito da Programação de Santos Reis, que passa a integrar o Calendário Municipal de Eventos. Em suas redes sociais, o prefeito classificou o evento como “um momento inesquecível e histórico”, ressaltando a importância cultural da celebração para a comunidade.
Com uma organização elogiada e uma participação recorde, a primeira Cavalgada de Santos Reis deixou uma marca positiva na história de Brumado, reforçando o potencial cultural e turístico do município e estimulando novas iniciativas no setor cultural e turístico.
