Em um ato simbólico realizado na sexta-feira (20), foi oficialmente inaugurado o novo Sistema de Videomonitoramento no município de Caatiba. A iniciativa é fruto de uma parceria entre a Prefeitura Municipal de Caatiba, Governo do Estado, através da Secretaria de Estado da Segurança Pública da Bahia, por meio do Pelotão local da 8ª Companhia Independente de Polícia Militar, e com empresários do setor de comércio varejista e de serviços da cidade, reforçando o compromisso conjunto com a Segurança Pública.
Com 70% do investimento custeado pela Prefeitura Municipal, o Sistema já começou a funcionar e contribuir com ações preventivas, monitoramento em tempo real e apoio às forças de segurança.

Durante o ato, a 8ª Companhia Independente de Polícia Militar também fez a doação de um equipamento para a Guarda Civil Municipal, que atua em colaboração direta com a Guarnição local da Polícia Militar.
Representando o prefeito Humberto – Dr. Humberto – de Almeida Antunes (PSD), no ato de inauguração do Sistema, a primeira-dama e secretária municipal de Assistência Social, Léa Suely Borba Cerqueira Antunes, destacou que, embora a inauguração do Sistema de Videomonitoramento tenha ocorrido em um período festivo para a cidade, o verdadeiro presente é o avanço na proteção da população. Segundo a primeira dama, com o Sistema de Videomonitoramento, Caatiba dá um passo importante rumo a uma cidade mais segura, moderna e bem assistida.
Populares ouvidos pela reportagem do JS ressaltaram a relevância do Sistema de Videomonitoramento implantado no município e fizeram questão de parabenizar o prefeito pelo comprometimento com a segurança pública em Caatiba. Eles também destacaram também a atuação da Polícia Militar, reconhecendo a parceria eficaz com o Poder Público e o empenho e dedicação demonstrados nas ações realizadas na cidade.

I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
