O Consórcio Público de Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Bacia do Paramirim oficializou, na manhã da última terça-feira (26), mais um avanço estratégico para a agricultura familiar da região. Foi assinada a Ordem de Serviço para a reforma da antiga Escola Municipal São Francisco, na Comunidade do Umbuzeiro, em Caturama, que será transformada no Entreposto de Ovos do município.
A cerimônia contou com a presença do Secretário Executivo do Consórcio, Leonardo Costa Santos, e do prefeito de Caturama, Antônio – Tõe – Leão Bonfim (PSD). O novo equipamento abrigará uma moderna classificadora de ovos, com capacidade para atender diretamente cinco municípios do Território: Botuporã, Caturama, Ibipitanga, Paramirim e Rio do Pires.
Padronização e certificação da produção local
O Projeto é uma extensão da iniciativa do Kit Galinha Poedeira, Programa do Governo do Estado, desenvolvido através da Secretaria de Estado do Desenvolvimento Rural da Bahia, por meio da Companhia de Desenvolvimento e Ação Regional (CAR), já implantado na região, que beneficiou cerca de 20 famílias em cada município. Com a instalação da classificadora, será possível padronizar e certificar os ovos produzidos localmente, agregando valor comercial e garantindo qualidade e confiabilidade ao produto.
Segundo o Consórcio, a Certificação permitirá que os municípios adquiram os ovos diretamente dos produtores familiares para inclusão na merenda escolar. A medida assegura a oferta de um alimento de alto valor nutricional para crianças e adolescentes, ao mesmo tempo em que estimula a economia local.

A ação é considerada estratégica para o fortalecimento da segurança alimentar, geração de renda e sustentabilidade. Com o novo Entreposto, o Consórcio Público de Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Bacia do Paramirim reforça seu papel como articulador de políticas públicas voltadas ao desenvolvimento regional, promovendo inclusão produtiva e valorização da agricultura familiar.
