De 7 a 12 de setembro, Vitória da Conquista vai respirar cinema com a realização da 16ª edição da Mostra Cinema Conquista. Durante seis dias, o público terá acesso gratuito a uma ampla programação no Centro de Cultura Camillo de Jesus Lima, na Praça CEUs J. Murillo, e em escolas municipais de cinco distritos, com exibições de filmes, oficinas, masterclass, mesas temáticas e conferências com realizadores, pesquisadores e profissionais do setor audiovisual.
Considerada um dos mais importantes eventos de audiovisual da Bahia, a Mostra apresenta ao público um panorama do cinema brasileiro contemporâneo, exibindo obras que, em muitos casos, circulam apenas em festivais e ainda não chegaram ao circuito comercial. Entre os destaques desta edição estão O Último Azul, de Gabriel Mascaro, ganhador do Urso de Prata em Berlim, Oeste Outra Vez, de Erico Rassi, e Saudade fez morada aqui dentro, de Haroldo Borges, entre outros títulos que compõem a programação.
Nesta edição, a Mostra homenageia os 15 anos do curso de Cinema e Audiovisual da Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia (Uesb), reconhecendo o papel da universidade pública na formação de profissionais e no fortalecimento da cadeia do audiovisual na região. “Ao homenagearmos o Curso de Cinema da Uesb, celebramos também uma trajetória de parceria e compromisso com a produção de conhecimento, a criação artística e o fortalecimento da produção e difusão do cinema feito no interior”, afirma Esmon Primo, coordenador do evento.
Atividades formativas, Mostra Cine-Tenda e Mostra Itinerante
Além das exibições no Centro de Cultura, a programação se expande com a Mostra Cine-Tenda na Praça CEUs J. Murillo, localizada no bairro Alto Maron, e com a Mostra Itinerante, que leva filmes para os distritos de Bate-Pé, Capinal, José Gonçalves, Limeira e Pradoso. Ambas acontecem por meio de uma parceria com a Prefeitura Municipal de Vitória da Conquista. Outro destaque são as atividades formativas, que incluem oficinas, conferências, mesas temáticas e uma masterclass realizadas em conjunto com a V Semana de Cinema e Audiovisual da Uesb e com o Programa Janela Indiscreta. Todas as ações são voltadas à formação, à pesquisa e à criação no setor audiovisual. As inscrições gratuitas podem ser realizadas no site.
Sobre a Mostra Cinema Conquista – Ano 16Criada em 2004, a Mostra Cinema Conquista – Um olhar para o novo cinema consolidou-se como espaço de exibição, formação e debate sobre o cinema brasileiro contemporâneo. O evento acompanha o vigor criativo da cinematografia nacional, marcada por prêmios internacionais e pelo fortalecimento de uma produção cada vez mais descentralizada e diversa. Realizada em Vitória da Conquista (BA), a Mostra valoriza o cinema feito no Nordeste e no interior do país, destacando a contribuição do curso de Cinema e Audiovisual da Uesb para a formação de profissionais e o estímulo a novas gerações de realizadores locais.
A Mostra Cinema Conquista – Um olhar para o novo cinema tem as parcerias do Janela Indiscreta e do Curso de Cinema e Audiovisual da Uesb e o apoio institucional da Prefeitura Municipal de Vitória da Conquista, por meio da Secretaria de Cultura e Turismo. A Mostra Cinema Conquista é uma realização da Movimenta Cultura e Arte e tem o apoio financeiro do Governo do Estado da Bahia através da Secretaria de Cultura via Lei Paulo Gustavo, direcionada pelo Ministério da Cultura, Governo Federal.
