Novo cálculo indica alta de 10,3% em relação à colheita anterior

A Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab) divulgou, nesta quinta-feira (13), o sexto levantamento da safra de grãos 2024/25, que atualiza a produção nacional para 328,3 milhões de toneladas.
A atual estimativa representa uma alta de 10,3%, se comparada ao volume colhido no ciclo anterior (2023/24), com acréscimo de 30,6 milhões de toneladas de 16 grãos a serem colhidos. Se as projeções se confirmarem, será um novo recorde para a produção de grãos no Brasil.
Segundo a Conab, o resultado reflete o aumento na área plantada, estimada em 81,6 milhões de hectares, e a recuperação na produtividade média das lavouras, projetada em 4,02 toneladas por hectare.
Ao compartilhar os números, o presidente da companhia, Edegar Pretto, disse que será uma safra histórica.
“As previsões deste sexto levantamento são mais positivas ainda do que as do quinto levantamento”, afirmou Edegar Pretto.
Soja
A soja continua a ser o principal produto cultivado na primeira safra. Na safra de 2024/25, a produção deve atingir 167,4 milhões de toneladas, com aumento de 13,3% em relação à safra passada. A área plantada de soja é de 47,45 milhões de hectares, com crescimento de 2,8%, na comparação com a última safra. Os números consolidam o Brasil na posição de liderança da produção de soja no mercado global.
O presidente da Conab lembrou o excesso de chuvas em janeiro, que provocou atrasos no plantio e tornou o início de colheita mais lento em alguns estados, mas ressaltou que a estiagem de fevereiro já possibilitou o avanço da colheita de 60,9% da área total.
“A diminuição das chuvas no Sul, especialmente no Rio Grande do Sul, que trouxe uma quebra na produção da soja [local], teve uma extraordinária recuperação nas demais regiões, como o Centro-oeste”, avaliou Edegar Pretto.
Milho
A produção de milho estimada pela Conab para a safra 2024/2025 é de 122,76 milhões de toneladas, crescimento de 6,1% na comparação com a última safra. A
área plantada deve alcançar 21,14 milhões hectares, o que representa aumento de 0,4% em relação à última safra do cereal.
A segunda safra de milho registra 83,1% da área prevista já plantada. O índice está abaixo do registrado no último ciclo.
Pretto disse que a diminuição das chuvas “traz certa preocupação para o fim do plantio do milho” e que a Conab acompanha com atenção a situação, porque o milho é o principal componente da ração animal, fornecendo proteína para aves, suínos e bovinos.
“Ter mais milho em oferta, tanto para o nosso Brasil quanto para o exterior, é importante para a economia. O governo tem uma atenção especial para a ração animal e também sobre o preço da carne para os consumidores.”
Feijão e arroz
Também para o arroz os técnicos da Conab verificaram aumento de 6,5% na área plantada, chegando a 1,7 milhão de hectares, maior área nos últimos sete anos. As condições climáticas têm favorecido as lavouras, permitindo a recuperação de 7,3% na produtividade média, estimada em 7.063 quilos por hectare.
Mantendo-se o cenário atual, a estimativa para a produção neste levantamento passa para 12,1 milhões de toneladas. “O que é muito positivo porque [o arroz] é uma das culturas importante para o nosso consumo interno”, disse Pretto, ao explicar que a colheita deve ser superior à do mesmo período da safra passada em quase todos os principais estados produtores.
Outro item típico da culinária brasileira, o feijão, deve registrar ligeiro aumento (1,5%) na produção total na safra 2024/25, estimada em 3,29 milhões de toneladas. De acordo com a Conab, o resultado é influenciado principalmente pela expectativa de melhora na produtividade média das lavouras, uma vez que a área destinada ao feijão se mantém praticamente estável.
O presidente da Conab, que é vinculada ao Ministério do Desenvolvimento Agrário e Agricultura Familiar, enfatizou que a política de apoio aos produtores da agricultura familiar tem juros mais baixos para produção de alimentos como arroz e feijão, além de outras culturas destinadas ao consumo interno. “Neste ano, estamos fazendo a colheita das boas políticas plantadas, no ano passado”, comemorou o gestor.
“A Conab acompanha, com assessoramento técnico, a montagem do próximo plano safra. Nossa recomendação é que o governo federal continue com as boas políticas de incentivos para alcançar com a mão amiga o produtor, de modo a aumentar a oferta de alimentos no país e equilibrar os preços, que sejam justos aos consumidores”, disse Edegar Pretto
Outras lavouras
No caso do algodão, a expectativa é que o aumento na área semeada, estimada em cerca de 2 milhões de hectares, resulte na produção de 3,82 milhões de toneladas de algodão em pluma, um novo recorde, se confirmado o crescimento de 3,3%, em comparação com a última safra.
Já o trigo tem expectativa de produção de 9,11 milhões de toneladas, com incremento de 15,6% em comparação com a última safra, apesar da redução de 2,1% da área plantada deste grão. Com isso, a lavoura deve alcançar a área plantada de 2,99 milhões de hectares. A Conab projeta que as condições climáticas até o fim do inverno serão favoráveis para a produção de trigo.
