Os Correios concluíram os projetos de codificação postal dos municípios de Condeúba, Feira da Mata e Santa Inês. Agora, as localidades possuem todos os logradouros/trechos cadastrados com novo Código de Endereçamento Postal (CEP). Além de facilitar a localização de endereços, beneficiando moradores e empresas que prestam serviços, o sistema ainda permite que o CEP seja usado como referência de garantia de confirmação de endereço, prática comum entre empresas de diversos segmentos.
Os novos códigos substituem os gerais, que eram utilizados para todos os logradouros de cada localidade:
A população deve entrar em contato com seus correspondentes e empresas nas quais possuam cadastro para informar o novo CEP do seu endereço. Os sistemas de bancos e empresas que trabalham conectados ao banco de dados dos Correios serão atualizados automaticamente.
Os CEPs específicos já estão disponíveis para consulta no Portal Correios e também nas agências dos municípios. Com essa ação, os Correios buscam a melhoria da prestação de serviços aos moradores, promovendo a cidadania e contribuindo para uma sociedade mais organizada e inclusiva.
CEP é cidadania – O código de endereçamento postal orienta e acelera o encaminhamento, o tratamento e a distribuição de objetos de correspondência, por meio da sua atribuição a localidades, logradouros, unidades dos Correios, serviços, órgãos públicos, empresas e edifícios.
