Em cinco anos, irregularidades levaram à aplicação de 1,3 mil punições

Em cinco anos, de janeiro de 2020 a novembro de 2024, a plataforma Não Me Perturbe, do governo federal, recebeu 5.005.465 solicitações de bloqueio de ligações de ofertas indesejadas sobre crédito consignado. 
De acordo com a Federação Brasileira de Bancos (Febraban), a maioria dos pedidos de bloqueio partiu de consumidores de cidades da Região Sudeste (53,3%). Em seguida, vêm as regiões Sul (18,6%); Nordeste (14,6%); Centro-Oeste e Norte, 9,66% e 3,65%, respectivamente. O estado de São Paulo, com 1.500.535 pedidos de bloqueio, lidera as queixas no país, seguido por Minas Gerais (561.977) e Rio de Janeiro (507.781).
Segundo a Febraban, desde 2020, foram aplicadas 1.385 punições em empresas por irregularidades na oferta do consignado a consumidores. Segundo a entidade, 53 empresas que cometeram irregularidades estão impedidas de atuar.
As infrações às regras podem também acarretar às instituições financeiras multas que variam de R$ 45 mil a R$ 1 milhão. Os valores arrecadados são destinados a projetos de educação financeira.
“O contínuo monitoramento dos bancos visa proteger o consumidor e repreender as práticas abusivas na oferta e contratação do consignado. O objetivo é garantir transparência e confiança para quem busca essa modalidade de crédito, que geralmente representa uma parcela vulnerável da população, como aposentados e pensionistas”, destaca o presidente da Febraban, Isaac Sidney.
