No decorrer do segundo trimestre de 2023, foram abatidas 8,25 milhões de cabeças de bovinos

O setor de produção animal demonstrou um aumento significativo no abate de bovinos e frangos durante o segundo trimestre de 2023 em comparação ao mesmo período do ano anterior, com acréscimos de 11,0% e 4,7%, respectivamente.
No decorrer do segundo trimestre de 2023, foram abatidas 8,25 milhões de cabeças de bovinos, todas sob algum nível de inspeção sanitária, indicando um crescimento substancial nesse segmento.
Em relação aos frangos, a quantidade abatida atingiu 1,56 bilhão de cabeças durante o mesmo período, reforçando o aumento na atividade de abate de aves.
No entanto, o cenário foi diferente para o abate de suínos, que apresentou uma queda de 1,6%, totalizando 14,00 milhões de cabeças abatidas no segundo trimestre de 2023.
Comparando com o primeiro trimestre do mesmo ano, os números continuam atraentes para o abate de bovinos, registrando um aumento de 12,3%. Já o abate de frangos registrou uma diminuição de 2,8%, enquanto o abate de suínos apresentou uma redução de 1,1%.
No segmento de laticínios, a aquisição de leite cru por parte de estabelecimentos operando sob inspeção sanitária totalizou 5,72 bilhões de litros. Esse número representou um aumento de 3,9% em comparação com o segundo trimestre de 2022, porém, uma diminuição de 2,8% em relação ao trimestre anterior.
Os curtumes também demonstraram um cenário positivo, com um aumento de 8,6% na aquisição de peças de couro em relação ao segundo trimestre de 2022, e um incremento de 7,2% em comparação com o trimestre imediatamente anterior.
Estabelecimentos de curtimento, que lidam com pelo menos 5.000 unidades inteiras de couro cru bovino por ano, reportaram a recepção de 8,31 milhões de peças inteiras durante o segundo trimestre de 2023.
Quanto à produção de ovos de galinha, esta registrou um crescimento de 2,1% no acumulado do ano e 1,8% no trimestre. Durante o segundo trimestre do ano, foram produzidas 1,04 bilhão de dúzias de ovos de galinha.
Esses dados, que delineiam o panorama do setor de produção animal, foram divulgados pelo renomado Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE).
