Durante a cerimônia realizada no dia 29 de maio, para celebrar o primeiro ano do Coronel PM Paulo Henrique Guimarães à frente do Comando de Policiamento Regional do Sudoeste, o deputado federal Waldenor Alves Pereira Filho (PT/BA) reafirmou o compromisso de seu mandato, assim como do deputado estadual José Raimundo Fontes (PT), também presente no evento, com a Segurança Pública na região.
O parlamentar petista anunciou ainda a destinação de mais de R$ 5 milhões em Emendas Parlamentares ao Orçamento Geral da União, sendo R$ 1,3 milhão destinados a Vitória da Conquista, com o objetivo de fortalecer as ações de combate à violência e o fortalecimento das forças de segurança, incluindo Polícia Civil, Polícia Militar, Bombeiros Militar, Polícia Técnica, Polícia Rodoviária Federal e Polícia Federal.
Assim como as autoridades civis, militares e lideranças políticas presentes, os deputados Waldenor Pereira e José Raimundo Fontes reconheceram e parabenizaram o trabalho eficiente do Coronel Paulo Henrique Guimarães à frente do Comando de Policiamento Regional do Sudoeste, destacando os resultados expressivos na redução dos índices de violência tanto na cidade quanto na macrorregião.
Waldenor Pereira foi enfático ao destacar os avanços na área de Segurança Pública em Vitória da Conquista e região, apoiando-se em dados oficiais que indicam uma significativa diminuição nos índices de criminalidade no município. Para ele, esses resultados refletem a eficácia do trabalho integrado das Forças de Segurança Pública na região.
O deputado também ressaltou que Vitória da Conquista lidera, entre os municípios com mais de cem mil habitantes no Estado, o ranking de cidade mais segura, conforme dados oficiais. Para Waldenor Pereira, esses números são fruto do trabalho eficiente das Forças de Segurança, em especial da Polícia Militar, que realiza policiamento ostensivo para preservar a ordem pública, prevenir e reprimir ações criminosas, além de garantir a fiscalização efetiva da segurança pública.
Por fim, Waldenor Pereira manifestou seu orgulho ao observar Vitória da Conquista como um exemplo positivo na luta contra a criminalidade, destacando os índices que evidenciam avanços no que ele chamou de “processo civilizatório”.
