POR JOANA D’ARCK CUNHA SANTOS – COMUNICAÇÃO WZ
Notabilizado pelo trabalho filantrópico criado no ano de 2000 – e que acabou se projetando em todo o território nacional e até mesmo em países vizinhos – o fundador do projeto “Voluntários do Sertão”, Doreedson Pereira, foi agraciado com a Medalha 2 de Julho, a mais alta honraria da Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia (Alba). “Dorinho”, como é mais conhecido, recebeu a homenagem na tarde da quinta-feira (15/05), em Sessão Especial, por iniciativa do deputado estadual Zé Raimundo (PT), através de Projeto de Resolução aprovado pelo Legislativo.
Dorinho fez um agradecimento pela homenagem, em especial ao deputado Zé Raimundo, e também aos que o acompanham no Projeto Solidário que desenvolve: “Fazemos muito por amor, um trabalho de formiguinha, porque temos força de vontade e contamos com pessoas que abraçam a causa, com pessoas que não medem esforços para ajudar os que precisam “.
A Sessão, realizada no Plenário Orlando Spínola, contou com apresentação musical e a participação de autoridades, deputados federais e estaduais, prefeitos amigos, admiradores, familiares e conterrâneos de Dorinho.
O deputado Zé Raimundo destacou a importância deste reconhecimento ao trabalho de Dorinho: “Sem dúvida alguma, o nosso homenageado não apenas preenche todos os requisitos e qualificativos previstos na legislação, como vai muito além. Dorinho é portador de valores e atributos que nos inspiram e nos convocam à ação. Sua trajetória de vida é um testemunho eloquente de solidariedade, compaixão e compromisso com o próximo. Sua biografia é rica em virtudes indispensáveis à construção de uma sociedade mais justa, harmônica e fraterna”.
Exemplos exaltados
O deputado falou da trajetória de Dorinho, baiano nascido no município de Condeúba, em 08 de maio de 1973, no Distrito de Alegre, e que aos 14 anos partiu em busca de melhorias de vida em São Paulo. Mais tarde, retornou a sua cidade natal com uma iniciativa que se tornaria um grande projeto de solidariedade com as pessoas carentes. De uma ação filantrópica em Condeúba, Dorinho acabou fundando o projeto Voluntários do Sertão de atuação. “Sua trajetória nos lembra que, mesmo diante das adversidades, é possível transformar o mundo ao nosso redor com gestos concretos de solidariedade, compaixão e amor ao próximo”.
Zé Raimundo ainda enfatizou: “Assim como tantas outras personalidades anônimas que silenciosamente constroem um Brasil melhor — ou como grandes nomes da nossa história recente, a exemplo do Papa Francisco e do ex-presidente José Mujica, que partiram recentemente deixando legados éticos e humanitários imensuráveis — Dorinho é um farol em meio à escuridão, um testemunho vivo de que vale a pena acreditar na humanidade. Que sua história continue nos inspirando. Qu seu exemplo nos estimule a olhar para o outro com mais empatia, a servir com mais desprendimento, e a lutar com mais coragem por um mundo mais justo e fraterno”.
Trajetória de Dorinho
Depois de se consolidar como empresário na área de Serviços de Saúde, em 2000, Dorinho reuniu amigos e montou a primeira edição dos Voluntários do Sertão, doando brinquedos e cestas básicas aos habitantes de sua cidade natal.
A cada ano a ação cresceu um pouco mais. A partir de 2006, o Projeto passou a oferecer atendimentos médicos e odontológicos, além de pequenas cirurgias, palestras e distribuição de kits de saúde e higiene pessoal em diferentes cidades do sertão, tomando proporções ainda maiores.
Com sede em Ribeirão Preto (São Paulo), atualmente o Projeto tem a parceria de várias empresas e conta com voluntários de todo o território nacional e até mesmo de países vizinhos, em diversas áreas, como médicos, enfermeiros, farmacêuticos, psicólogos, dentistas, pilotos, cozinheiros, motoristas, auxiliares administrativos, entre outros.
Desde sua criação, o Projeto já teve mais de 3.000 voluntários e procedeu de forma gratuita a mais de 400.000 atendimentos e procedimentos médicos, odontológicos e sociais, melhorando a vida de pessoas em situação de vulnerabilidade social.
Paralelamente à atividade de filantropia e voluntariado, Dorinho tornou-se um bem sucedido empresário na área de Assistência à Saúde e criou uma organização que oferece Feiras de Saúde em parcerias com Estados e municípios e o apoio do Sistema Único de Saúde – SUS, atendendo pacientes que necessitam dos serviços públicos de saúde.
Apresentação musical
A solenidade teve a apresentação do Grupo Percorreres, formado pelo pelo maestro João Omar, o cantor Elton Becker e o violeiro e violonista Petrônio Joabe, que executou os Hinos Nacional e da Bahia e tocou os sucessos musicais. A entrada do homenageado no plenário se deu ao som de “Disparada”, de Jair Rodrigues. Foram tocadas também pelo grupo: “Do Brasil (Vander Lee) “Arrumação” (Elomar); “Tocando em frente” (Renato Teixeira) e “Vida de viajante” (Luiz Gonzaga).
