O resultado de uma Auditoria realizada pela Secretaria de Estado de Saúde da Bahia, através da Diretoria de Auditoria de Sistemas e Serviços de Saúde da Bahia, cujo relatório foi tornado público, aponta uma série de irregularidades na gestão da Assistência Farmacêutica no município no Governo do ex-prefeito Jesulino de Souza Porto.
O Relatório da Diretoria de Auditoria de Sistemas e Serviços de Saúde da Bahia, aponta para a existência de uma cadeia de irregularidades, consolidadas pela falta de estrutura, inclusive a carência de equipamentos e observação de normas técnicas e de assistência na Farmácia Básica preconizadas pela legislação, e de organização na gestão da Assistência Farmacêutica, entre as quais a ausência de documentos que comprovem a inserção do órgão na estrutura organizacional da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde, que culminaram com a ineficiência dos serviços prestados e sugerem a possibilidade de má gestão dos recursos financeiros destinados à Unidade.
