Faltando pouco menos de um ano para as eleições municipais de 2024, previstas para serem realizadas no dia 6 de outubro do próximo ano, pelo menos treze pré-candidatos já estão se movimentando para viabilizar seus nomes para disputa da sucessão do prefeito Rodrigo Hagge Costa (MDB), em Itapetinga.
Oito anos depois de deixar o comando da Prefeitura Municipal, o Partido dos Trabalhadores poderá chegar à Convenção que definirá as chapas majoritária e proporcional para disputa do pleito com pelo menos duas mulheres embaralhando o xadrez eleitoral de 2020: a ex-primeira-dama Cida Moura (hoje no Progressistas, mas que está de malas prontas para retornar à legenda a convite do governador Jerônimo Rodrigues) e a vereadora Sibele Shirley da Silva Moura Nery.
Nesse cenário, contando ainda com a dificuldade que o prefeito Rodrigo Hagge Costa (MDB) vem enfrentando para lançar um nome que seja ao mesmo tempo competitivo e capaz de assegurar a unidade da legenda e possíveis aliados na disputa pela sucessão municipal, o nome da ex-primeira-dama Cida Moura desponta com grandes chances de ser a indicada pelo PT e de se tornar a primeira mulher a governar o município nos seus 71 anos de emancipação política e administrativa.
O nome da ex-primeira-dama ganhou mais força depois que pesquisa para consumo interno realizada em Itapetinga pelo Diretório Regional do Partido dos Trabalhadores chegou às mãos do governador Jerônimo Rodrigues Souza (PT). Os números do levantamento, segundo uma fonte do JS, que apontaram a ex-primeira-dama com larga vantagem sobre o segundo colocado, Eduardo José Hagge – veterinário, filho do líder emedebista Michel José Hagge e tio do atual prefeito – que a credenciaram para ser o nome da legenda na disputa pela Prefeitura de Itapetinga.
