Com público recorde, distribuição gratuita de livros, programação diversa e ampla mobilização territorial, a 7ª edição da Fligê, realizada em 2024, reafirmou Mucugê como polo de valorização da literatura na Chapada Diamantina.
A sétima edição da Feira Literária de Mucugê (Fligê), realizada entre os dias 25 e 28 de julho de 2024, reafirmou o poder transformador da literatura como força cultural, educativa e econômica. Com uma programação diversa e gratuita, a Fligê mobilizou mais de 50 mil pessoas ao longo dos quatro dias de evento, vindas de cerca de 90 municípios, promovendo não apenas o acesso ao livro e à leitura, mas também o fortalecimento das identidades regionais e o estímulo à economia da cidade e seu entorno.
Com o tema “Memórias e Trilhas das Letras Diamantinas”, a Fligê 2024 homenageou o escritor baiano Itamar Vieira Junior, autor de Torto Arado, obra que deu novo fôlego à literatura inspirada nos territórios da Chapada Diamantina. A presença de Itamar, ao lado de outros 200 convidados entre escritores, artistas e estudiosos, evidenciou o prestígio do evento no circuito literário nacional.
Durante a feira, foram realizados 55 debates e bate-papos com autores, sete oficinas, 25 espetáculos, 19 apresentações musicais, 11 filmes exibidos, sete exposições, além de 40 sessões de autógrafos e o lançamento de dezenas de livros de autores baianos e nacionais. Treze editoras participaram da feira, oferecendo ao público obras para todos os gostos e idades. A ocupação hoteleira atingiu 100%, com os mais de 1.200 leitos disponíveis em Mucugê completamente ocupados, gerando renda e fortalecendo o turismo cultural da cidade.
A atuação da Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia (ALBA) foi um dos marcos da edição, com a distribuição de quase 4 mil livros através do Programa ALBA Cultural, incluindo títulos reimpressos especialmente para o evento, como Maria Dusá, Mucugê por Mucugê e Lavras Diamantinas.
Mais de 400 profissionais foram contratados para a realização da Fligê 2024, entre escritores, artistas, técnicos, produtores e trabalhadores da cadeia cultural e turística. Além disso, a curadoria promoveu uma programação que dialogou com a ancestralidade, a memória e os caminhos literários da Chapada.
Fligê 2025
Em sua oitava edição, que acontece de 13 a 17 de agosto de 2025, a Fligê retorna com o tema “Rios e Matas da Narrativa”, propondo reflexões sobre o papel da natureza na literatura e sua relação com a crise climática. Serão cinco dias de programação intensa e gratuita, reunindo literatura, música, teatro, cinema e formação de leitores.
Ao longo dos anos, a Fligê se consolidou como um dos principais eventos literários da Bahia, e os impactos da edição de 2024 demonstram seu potencial como política pública de leitura, cultura e cidadania.
A oitava edição da Fligê – Feira Literária de Mucugê foi contemplada pelo Edital de Apoio às Festas, Feiras e Festivais Literários (Nº 01/2024), por meio do Programa Bahia Literária, com apoio do Governo do Estado da Bahia, através da Secretaria de Educação e da Secretaria de Cultura, via Fundação Pedro Calmon, no âmbito do fomento à realização de ações culturais.
