Ainda como parte da agenda em Brumado, o governador Jerônimo Rodrigues Souza (PT), juntamente com a secretária de Estado da Saúde da Bahia, Roberta Silva de Carvalho Santana, anunciou uma série de investimentos no município.
O governador autorizou a Secretaria de Estado da Saúde da Bahia a adotar as providências para deflagração do Processo Licitatório para construção da nova sede da Unidade de Coleta e Transfusão (UCT) da Fundação de Hematologia e Hemoterapia da Bahia (Hemoba). Na intervenção serão investidos R$ 4 milhões. Ainda para a área de Hemoterapia, Jerônimo Rodrigues autorizou a aquisição de um Hemóvel – ônibus adaptado para a Unidade Móvel de Coleta de Sangue – com investimento estimado de R$ 2,5 milhões. Os investimentos, destacou a secretária de Estado da Saúde da Bahia, Roberta Santana, visam aumentar em 66% a produção de Hemocomponentes – fundamentais para transfusões ou terapias de pacientes que apresentem alguma doença ou deficiência – na macrorregião, passando a produzir entre 350 e 600 bolsas por mês. Essa ampliação é fundamental para fortalecer o processo de captação e melhorar o atendimento na rede de urgência e emergência.
No âmbito da política de apoio aos municípios para o fortalecimento da Atenção Primária, o governador autorizou a Secretaria de Estado da Saúde da Bahia a celebrar dois convênios com a Prefeitura Municipal de Brumado, através da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde, no valor estimado de R$ 3,3 milhões, destinado à reforma e ampliação do Hospital Municipal José Maria de Magalhães Neto e a reforma de 12 Unidades Básicas de Saúde da Família no município.
A Secretaria de Estado da Saúde da Bahia também foi feita a entrega à Prefeitura Municipal, através da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde, de uma ambulância, equipamentos hospitalares para o Hospital Municipal Professor José Maria de Magalhães Neto, kits Odontológicos e Kits para Unidades Básicas de Saúde.
