Na última terça-feira (12), o Governo da Bahia comemorou o Dia Internacional da Juventude, destacando as iniciativas voltadas a ampliar as oportunidades para os jovens baianos. A celebração ocorreu por meio da Coordenação Geral de Políticas Públicas para a Juventude (Cojuve), vinculada à Secretaria de Estado de Relações Institucionais da Bahia, reforçando o compromisso do Estado com o desenvolvimento juvenil.
Nivaldo Millet, Coordenador-Geral de Políticas Públicas para a Juventude, ressaltou a importância de ações integradas para atender às diversas demandas dessa faixa etária. “A juventude é um público com demandas variadas, que envolvem desde inclusão social e econômica até o enfrentamento do racismo e a ampliação de espaços para mulheres na ciência e na gestão pública. Nosso objetivo é atuar de forma coordenada para ampliar o acesso a oportunidades e combater desigualdades históricas”, explicou.
Entre as ações destaque está o Programa Bahia Alfabetizada, sancionado recentemente pela Lei nº 25.668/2025. A iniciativa, que estabelece colaboração entre o Governo do Estado e os 417 municípios baianos, visa erradicar o analfabetismo e garantir a alfabetização na idade adequada. O Programa inclui um Plano de 10 Semanas para as Secretarias Municipais de Educação, focado na melhoria do desempenho nos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, além de ações de formação de profissionais, distribuição de materiais didáticos e reforço na cooperação entre os entes federais.
Millet reforçou ainda o compromisso do Governo do Estado com o presente e o futuro da juventude. “Estamos investindo na construção e modernização de mais de 170 Escolas em toda a Bahia, todas com infraestrutura renovada, além de implementar uma política de alimentação escolar que garante nutrição de qualidade e incentiva a permanência dos estudantes nas salas de aula”, destacou.
Além das ações na Educação, a gestão também promove o Movimento SouJuvs, uma Plataforma de Atividades Culturais e Formativas voltadas a fortalecer a participação juvenil. O Festival, promovido pelo Governo do Estado, por meio da Coordenação Geral de Políticas Públicas para a Juventude, apresenta manifestações artísticas e culturais em diversas regiões do Estado, como Salvador, Feira de Santana, Vitória da Conquista, Barreiras, Camaçari e Ilhéus, evidenciando a diversidade cultural da Bahia.
Para Nivaldo Millet, essas ações representam o compromisso do Governo Jerônimo Rodrigues em construir uma juventude mais inclusiva, participativa e preparada para os desafios do século XXI. “Nosso objetivo é criar uma política pública que seja capaz de atender às múltiplas demandas dos jovens, promovendo uma sociedade mais justa e igualitária”, concluiu.
