Serão investidos mais de R$ 16 milhões para atendimento às crianças da educação infantil em 2025

O Governo Federal, por meio do Ministério da Educação (MEC), vai anunciar, na próxima terça-feira, 22 de abril, investimento de mais de R$ 16 milhões no programa Cantinho da Leitura, para o atendimento das crianças da educação infantil em 2025. Foram investidos, até março de 2025, mais de R$ 180 milhões na instalação de 38 mil novos Cantinhos da Leitura nas salas de aula de 1º e 2º ano do ensino fundamental em escolas de todo o Brasil. Os repasses foram realizados por meio do Programa Dinheiro Direto na Escola (PDDE) Cantinho da Leitura. A iniciativa é desenvolvida pelo Compromisso Nacional Criança Alfabetizada.
O PDDE Cantinho da Leitura tem como objetivo fomentar a instalação de ambientes agradáveis e estimulantes que promovam o contato direto das crianças com os livros. A ampliação do atendimento à educação infantil reflete o compromisso do MEC com a criação de ambientes que oportunizem o acesso a espaços de leitura para mais crianças.
FORMAÇÃO CONTINUADA — A ação está alinhada ao Programa de Formação Continuada Leitura e Escrita na Educação Infantil (Pro-LEEI), instituído pela Portaria nº 85/2025, de 4 de fevereiro, por meio do qual serão planejadas e implementadas práticas pedagógicas para o desenvolvimento das crianças no campo da linguagem oral, da leitura e da escrita.
O MEC disponibilizará a lista de instituições de educação infantil elegíveis e a seleção pelos secretários estaduais e municipais de educação, que acontecerá entre 28 de abril e 9 de maio. Após esse processo, as escolas confirmadas pelas secretarias deverão confirmar o interesse no sistema PDDE Interativo e elaborar um plano de ação no período de 12 a 30 de maio de 2025. Cada sala de pré-escola receberá um aporte de R$ 1.235, com a distribuição de 30% para capital e 70% para custeio, conforme as diretrizes estabelecidas pela Resolução nº 22, de 24 de outubro de 2023.
As instituições de educação infantil selecionadas em 2025 receberão apoio e assistência técnica para a regularização e a realização da confirmação e do planejamento pela Rede Nacional de Articulação de Gestão, Formação e Mobilização (Renalfa), bem como pelas secretarias de educação estaduais e municipais, já que elas são as responsáveis por selecionar as escolas elegíveis no Sistema Integrado de Monitoramento, Execução e Controle do Ministério da Educação (Simec).
COMPROMISSO – O Compromisso Nacional Criança Alfabetizada é realizado em regime de colaboração entre a União e os entes federados. O objetivo é garantir que 100% das crianças brasileiras estejam alfabetizadas ao final do 2º ano do ensino fundamental, conforme previsto na Meta 5 do Plano Nacional de Educação (PNE). O programa busca, ainda, garantir a recomposição das aprendizagens, com foco na alfabetização de 100% das crianças matriculadas no 3º, no 4º e no 5º ano, tendo em vista o impacto da pandemia para esse público.
