Campanha de reforço da vacina começa em 7 de abril. A previsão é de que 30 milhões de doses sejam distribuídas no mês

No dia 21 de março, o Ministério da Saúde começou a distribuir doses de vacinas contra a gripe para todos os Estados das regiões Nordeste, Sul, Centro-Oeste e Sudeste. A primeira leva tem 5,4 milhões de doses e a previsão é de que a distribuição ocorra até o final de abril, totalizando 35 milhões de doses do imunizante pelo país.
O início oficial da vacinação está marcado para o dia 7 de abril, data que marca o começo da campanha de reforço da imunização. Apesar disso, a recomendação do Ministério da Saúde é de que Estados e municípios iniciem a estratégia assim que receberem as doses do imunizante.
Segundo o MS, a vacina contra a gripe é capaz de evitar entre 60% e 70% dos casos graves e óbitos.
Conforme a Pasta, a estratégia será mantida ao longo do ano, indo além das campanhas sazonais e integrando o Calendário Nacional de Vacinação.
O ministro da Saúde, Alexandre Padilha, afirmou que a meta é imunizar 90% do público prioritário. Com isso, já fazem parte do Calendário Nacional de Vacinação crianças de 6 meses a menores de 6 anos, gestantes e idosos a partir de 60 anos. Mas a estratégia vai além desses grupos prioritários. Confira:
- Trabalhadores da Saúde;
- Puérperas;
- Professores dos ensinos básico e superior;
- Povos indígenas;
- Pessoas em situação de rua;
- Profissionais das forças de segurança e de salvamento;
- Profissionais das Forças Armadas;
- Pessoas com doenças crônicas não transmissíveis e outras condições clínicas especiais (independentemente da idade);
- Pessoas com deficiência permanente;
- Caminhoneiros;
- Trabalhadores do transporte rodoviário coletivo (urbano e de longo curso);
- Trabalhadores portuários
- Funcionários do sistema de privação de liberdade;
- População privada de liberdade, além de adolescentes e jovens sob medidas socioeducativas (entre 12 e 21 anos).
Estratégia regional
A campanha será realizada em dois momentos:
Primeiro semestre: março/abril, nas regiões Nordeste, Centro-Oeste, Sudeste e Sul
Segundo semestre: setembro, na Região Norte, alinhando-se ao período de maior circulação viral na região.
A estratégia considera a região que concentra o pico de casos em determinado período do ano. Dessa forma, a previsão para o primeiro semestre é distribuir 67,6 milhões de doses para as regiões Sul, Sudeste, Centro-Oeste e Nordeste – onde o pico de casos ocorre no outono e inverno (abril a junho).
Já no segundo semestre, serão distribuídas 5,9 milhões de doses para a Região Norte. Isso deve ocorrer devido ao clima tropical e ao regime de chuvas, que fazem com que a maior circulação do vírus aconteça neste período, geralmente entre setembro e novembro, chamado de “Inverno Amazônico”.
Temporada do VSR no país
O Boletim InfoGripe da Fiocruz, divulgado em 27 de março, alerta para o início da tendência de aumento da circulação dos vírus respiratórios nas próximas semanas. Nas últimas edições, a publicação já apontava o crescimento de casos graves do Vírus Sincicial Respiratório (VSR), especialmente na região Centro-Oeste, com a incidência atingindo níveis altos ou muito altos. O estudo refere-se à Semana Epidemiológica (SE) 12, de 16 a 22 de março.
A pesquisadora Tatiana Portela, do InfoGripe e do Programa de Processo de Computação Científica, informa que se trata de um crescimento sazonal. Além disso, a pesquisadora esclarece que, além do VSR, é muito provável que, em breve, haja um aumento do vírus da influenza.
Apesar da sazonalidade, a pesquisadora da FioCruz ressalta que estar vacinado contra a gripe é essencial para evitar casos graves.
No atual cenário, a análise aponta crescimento de VSR em níveis de incidência moderada na Região Sudeste, principalmente em São Paulo, Minas Gerais e Espírito Santo. O Acre também já tem sinais de aumento dos casos graves de VSR.
