Um homem de 34 anos foi preso preventivamente na segunda-feira (30 de setembro), em Ibotirama, acusado de estupro de vulnerável, cárcere privado, lesão corporal no contexto de violência doméstica e abandono intelectual. A prisão ocorreu após uma operação conjunta das forças de segurança e do Ministério Público Estadual.
As investigações começaram em julho, após denúncia que apontava que o suspeito mantinha a companheira, de 27 anos, e os dois filhos – uma menina de 8 anos e um menino de 5 – em situação de isolamento social e privação de liberdade. As crianças estavam impedidas de frequentar a Escola, e há indícios de que a filha do casal tenha sido vítima de abuso sexual.
O acusado, que atuava como pescador, residiu anteriormente em Muquém do São Francisco. Com o avanço das diligências, ele se mudou com a família para uma área de mata fechada e de difícil acesso, localizada em Ibotirama, onde só é possível chegar por embarcação. A mudança dificultou a localização do suspeito pelas autoridades.
Durante a operação, as equipes realizaram incursões por áreas de mata e travessias fluviais até encontrarem o homem em uma residência isolada. No local, a mulher e os filhos foram resgatados e encaminhados à Rede de Proteção Social. Relatórios preliminares indicam que a família vivia em isolamento desde, pelo menos, o início de 2024, com contato externo restrito e controlado pelo suspeito.
A ação contou com a participação da Delegacia Territorial de Polícia Civil de Muquém do São Francisco, do Setor de Investigação da 24ª Coordenadoria Regional de Polícia Civil do Interior (24ª Coorpin/ Bom Jesus da Lapa); da 28ª Companhia Independente de polícia Militar de Ibotirama e do Ministério Público Estadual. O homem foi conduzido à Unidade Policial e permanece à disposição da Justiça.
