Foram presos 480 suspeitos nos últimos dois meses de 2024
A Operação Virtude, do governo federal, voltada ao combate da violência contra idosos, atendeu 29.914 vítimas e prendeu 480 suspeitos, entre os dias 10 de junho e 11 de julho deste ano. A ação coordenada pelo Ministério da Justiça e Segurança Pública contou com o apoio do Ministério dos Direitos Humanos e Cidadania e realizou 53.811 diligências em todas os estados do país. O balanço, divulgado nesta segunda-feira (15), também contabiliza 7.744 denúncias apuradas, todas via Disque 100 – Disque Direitos Humanos. Ao todo, foram registrados 11.621 mil boletins de ocorrência e instaurados 17.823 procedimentos policiais.
O Ministério da Justiça investiu mais de R$ 2,4 milhões, direcionados ao pagamento de diárias aos estados, visando o reforço de efetivo policial para a execução das ações, que incluem investigação, atuação ostensiva de repressão a crimes e palestras para conscientização a respeito dos cuidados com os idosos, em razão da sua condição de potencial fragilidade física e emocional. O número de pessoas atendidas pelas palestras chegou a quase 1,5 milhão.
O coordenador da Operação Virtude, Anderson Dutra Tebaldi, disse que os números revelam a necessidade da intensificação de ações voltadas ao combate da violência contra idosos: “Infelizmente, os dados são preocupantes e apontam a necessidade de que nós continuemos focados na apuração desses crimes contra a população idosa. É necessário responsabilizar aqueles que cometem os crimes e garantir a integridade física e psicológica da população idosa”, avaliou.
As ações integradas também foram executadas pelas secretarias estaduais de Segurança Pública, através da Polícia Civil, Militar, Corpos de Bombeiros, além de órgãos oficiais de perícia criminal e demais parceiros.
“O objetivo é que as pessoas idosas tenham acesso e informações sobre os seus direitos, e não sejam vítimas de nenhum tipo de violência. Os idosos merecem respeito, cuidados, carinho, atenção, valorização, acolhimento, proteção, amor e jamais serem vítimas de nenhum tipo de violência”, destacou a delegada da Polícia Civil do Espírito Santo, Cláudia Dematté.
O titular da Delegacia de Proteção ao Idoso de São Luís, no Maranhão, José Antonio Alvares Mendes Sobrinho, disse que a ação visa o cumprimento do Estatuto do Idoso e demais legislações, além de prevenir novos casos de violência.
“A Operação Virtude se tornou um marco positivo no calendário nacional de atenção aos grupos mais vulneráveis da sociedade, notadamente, pessoas idosas, apresentando resultados cada vez melhores no enfrentamento dessa problemática social, realizada a cada ano, dando-nos a convicção de que estamos no rumo certo para que os idosos deste país sejam respeitados, cuidados e tenham todos os seus direitos observados pela sociedade brasileira, possam envelhecer e viver essa importante fase da vida com alegria e dignidade e com seus direitos assegurados”, explicou.

Além de ligação gratuita, o Disque Direitos Humanos também recebe denúncias de violações de direitos humanos por meio do WhatsApp (61) 99611-0100; Telegram (digitar “direitoshumanosbrasil” na busca do aplicativo); e na página da Ouvidoria Nacional de Direitos Humanos, no site do Ministério dos Direitos Humanos e da Cidadania. As denúncias são gratuitas, anônimas e recebem um número de protocolo para que o denunciante acompanhe o andamento diretamente com o Disque 100.
Operação Virtude
Essa é a segunda edição da Operação Virtude. A primeira foi em outubro de 2023, com 30 dias de duração, e resultou em mais de 5,3 mil denúncias apuradas, 11,5 mil vítimas atendidas, mais de mil suspeitos conduzidos as delegacias, foram registrados 6,6 mil boletins de ocorrência, com 200 pessoas presas.
