O último Boletim InfoGripe da Fiocruz, divulgado no dia 3 de abril, aponta um crescimento do número de hospitalizações em crianças pequenas em vários estados da Região Nordeste, com níveis de incidência de moderados a altos. A publicação destaca que o aumento pode estar associado ao vírus sincicial respiratório (VSR) na Bahia e no Rio Grande do Norte, assim como no Pará, na Região Norte.
O crescimento de SRAG entre crianças de até dois anos, associado ao VSR, com níveis de incidência de moderados a muito altos é observado em estados do Norte, no AC e AP, do Centro-Oeste, no DF e em GO, e no Sudeste, no ES, MG e SP.
A edição também reforça que nas regiões Norte, Centro-Oeste e Sudeste é observada uma manutenção do aumento das hospitalizações por Síndrome Respiratória Aguda Grave (SRAG) na população infantil até 2 anos, associadas principalmente ao VSR. No AC, AP, DF e GO, o crescimento entre crianças de até dois anos está associado ao VSR.
O rinovírus também tem circulado de forma incisiva nas regiões Norte e Centro-Oeste, afetando especialmente crianças e adolescentes na faixa etária de dois aos 14 anos. Os estados afetados são AP, RR, MS e DF.
A pesquisadora Tatiana Portella, do Programa de Computação Científica da Fiocruz e do Boletim InfoGripe, destaca que, considerando o cenário, é importante que pessoas com sintomas de gripe ou resfriado usem máscara ao sair de casa. Bons exemplos são as máscaras N95 ou PFF2.
A pesquisadora afirma que também é essencial usar máscaras em postos de saúde, onde há maior exposição aos vírus respiratórios.
Cenário nacional
O documento aponta, ainda, que 11 das 27 unidades federativas (UF) apresentam nível de incidência de SRAG em alerta, risco ou alto risco, com sinal de crescimento na tendência de longo prazo até a semana epidemiológica 13, que corresponde ao período entre 23 e 29 de março. As UFs nesta situação são Acre, Amapá, Bahia, Distrito Federal, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Rio Grande do Norte e Roraima
Em 2025, já foram notificados 28.036 casos de SRAG, sendo 38,8% testando positivo para algum vírus respiratório. Destes casos, 26,3% eram de vírus sincicial respiratório, 29,7% de rinovírus e 32,8% de Sars-CoV-2 (Covid-19).
Vacinação
A Campanha Nacional contra a Influenza começa oficialmente na segunda, 7 de abril. O Ministério da Saúde começou a distribuir 5,4 milhões de doses de vacinas contra a gripe para todos os estados das regiões Nordeste, Sul, Centro-Oeste e Sudeste.
Conforme a pasta, a previsão é de que a distribuição ocorra até o final de abril, totalizando 35 milhões de doses do imunizante pelo país.
A distribuição começou dia 21 de março, mas a Saúde orientou estados e municípios a iniciarem a aplicação dos imunizantes assim que receberem as doses.
Em relação à influenza, a pesquisadora Portella informa que ainda não foi observado aumento do número de casos graves no país, mas ela afirma que isso deve ocorrer no final de abril. Por este motivo, ela ressalta que é fundamental que todas as pessoas, principalmente as que compõem os grupos de risco, como idosos e crianças, sejam vacinadas.
“Por isso a gente pede para que todas as pessoas dos grupos de risco estejam em dia com a vacinação contra o vírus”, reforça Portella.
