Plataformas de streaming e redes sociais substituem televisão aberta

Estudo de uma empresa de análise de mercado feito nos Estados Unidos revela que adultos passarão mais tempo assistindo a vídeos online do que televisão, em 2023. O motivo é que plataformas como YouTube, Netflix e Tik Tok estão tomando o lugar da TV aberta.
De acordo com o brasileiro Lucas Moreira de Queiros, essa é uma tendência mundial.
“Hoje em dia eu praticamente não assisto mais televisão aberta. Sempre que eu pego o controle remoto é pra colocar em algum canal de streaming e aí acabo vendo algum filme ou maratonando alguma série.”
Gabriela Borges, coordenadora do Observatório da Qualidade no Audiovisual e professora da Universidade do Algarve, confirma essa tendência.
“Os dados apontados pela pesquisa dos Estados Unidos não me surpreendem, porque na verdade mostram uma certa tendência mundial no crescimento do consumo, principalmente de imagens ou de vídeos – de produção audiovisual de um modo geral”.
Ela cita outra pesquisa recente, feita em 2022, pela Ofcom, a agência reguladora britânica. O levantamento mostra que jovens entre 16 e 24 anos assistem quase sete vezes menos televisão do que pessoas com 65 anos ou mais, passando menos de uma hora em frente à TV.
“Eu acho que esse dado também é importante, porque os jovens já não assistem a televisão, mas eles migram e eles assistem conteúdo audiovisual nas plataformas de streaming ou conteúdos on demand e em vídeos de redes sociais.
Gabriela Borges cita ainda levantamento da empresa Comscore mostrando que 96% dos brasileiros consomem conteúdos jornalísticos em dispositivos móveis. Por isso, ela defende políticas públicas que promovam a educação midiática.
“[Os dados] também evidenciam a necessidade do Brasil começar a pensar em políticas públicas, que promovam, de certo modo, a educação midiática, porque diferentemente do que é exibido na televisão, que tem um crivo jornalístico – principalmente se a gente pensa na questão das notícias – nas redes sociais a produção de informação é feita de forma desordenada, isto é: qualquer um pode produzir conteúdos. Mas mais alarmante do que qualquer um produzir conteúdos é o fato de que existem cada vez mais canais de desinformação”.
Na opinião de Gabriela Borges, a tendência é para um consumo cada vez maior das redes sociais nos próximos anos.
