O deputado estadual José Luciano Santos Ribeiro (União Brasil) encaminhou, na terça-feira (10), um Ofício à Companhia de Engenharia Hídrica e de Saneamento da Bahia (Cerb), empresa vinculada à Secretaria de Estado de Infraestrutura Hídrica e de Saneamento da Bahia, solicitando dados sobre poços artesianos perfurados em municípios do Estado. O documento foi direcionado ao presidente da Empresa, Jayme Vieira Lima Filho.
O deputado estadual Luciano Ribeiro (União Brasil) afirmou que sua iniciativa de solicitar informações à Companhia de Engenharia Hídrica e de Saneamento da Bahia (Cerb) integra o papel de fiscalização das políticas públicas voltadas ao abastecimento de água, sobretudo nos municípios do semiárido. A região, apontou, que abrange grande parte do Sertão e áreas do Centro-Oeste baiano, enfrenta crises hídricas recorrentes, com diversos municípios em Situação de Emergência quase permanente devido às estiagens prolongadas.
Luciano Ribeiro citou ainda um estudo com registros de 2025 e início de 2026, que aponta as regiões do Centro-Oeste, Sertão Produtivo e Vale do São Francisco como as mais críticas. Segundo o levantamento, a escassez de água tem provocado perdas significativas na produção agrícola e comprometido o abastecimento de mais de meio milhão de baianos.
No Requerimento, o parlamentar solicita ao presidente da Cerb a relação de municípios e localidades onde os poços foram abertos, mas ainda não estão instalados ou em funcionamento. O Ofício também requer esclarecimentos sobre possíveis razões técnicas, administrativas ou orçamentárias que tenham atrasado a conclusão das obras, além de informações sobre a existência de planejamento ou cronograma para a entrada em operação dos sistemas.
De acordo com Luciano Ribeiro, o levantamento poderá contribuir para o monitoramento das ações de enfrentamento à escassez hídrica no Estado. “A solicitação visa subsidiar o acompanhamento das políticas públicas voltadas ao abastecimento de água e convivência com a seca”, afirmou.
O parlamentar estabeleceu prazo de dez dias para que as informações sejam encaminhadas ao seu gabinete.
