Programa paga R$ 3 mil por ano a jovens para mantê-los no ensino médio

O programa Pé-de-Meia, que oferece incentivo financeiro para jovens permanecerem matriculados e concluírem o ensino médio, já tem 2,43 milhões de estudantes cadastrados. As contas desses alunos já foram abertas na Caixa e eles estão aptos a receber os valores pagos pelo programa.
Com o Pé-de-Meia, os alunos receberão um pagamento mensal de R$ 200, além de um bônus anual de R$ 1.000. A primeira parcela já foi paga aos estudantes entre o fim de março e o início deste mês, de acordo com o ministro da Educação, Camilo Santana.
Segundo as regras do programa, que é coordenado pelo Ministério da Educação (MEC), os R$ 200 serão pagos por dez meses a cada ano e podem ser sacados a qualquer momento pelo estudante. Já os R$ 1.000 pagos ao fim de cada ano letivo, só podem ser usados pelo jovem após sua formação no ensino médio. A contrapartida é que o aluno frequente pelo menos 80% das aulas.
“Segundo o último Censo Escolar, o Brasil perdeu quase meio milhão de estudantes, que saíram da escola [no ensino médio], em um ano. E não é por escolha, é por necessidade. Dados do IBGE mostraram agora que o grande motivo de o aluno abandonar a escola é a questão financeira”, disse Santana, durante lançamento do programa no Rio de Janeiro, nesta quinta-feira (4).
Os valores recebidos individualmente pelos estudantes, somando o adicional de R$ 200 pagos pela participação no Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem), chegam a R$ 9,2 mil ao fim desta etapa da educação básica.
De acordo com o MEC, o programa estima atender a 2,5 milhões de estudantes e terá um investimento de R$ 7,1 bilhões este ano. Alguns alunos ainda não estão cadastrados devido a problemas no CPF.
Beneficiados
Segundo o MEC, para receber a poupança do ensino médio, o aluno precisa ter Cadastro de Pessoa Física (CPF) e matrícula em série do ensino médio público, registrada até dois meses após o início do ano letivo.
Outros requisitos são ter de 14 a 24 anos e ser integrante de família beneficiária do Programa Bolsa Família, que será prioridade no início do incentivo financeiro-educacional.
