Na sexta-feira, 4, Ministério da Integração e do Desenvolvimento Regional, por meio da Secretaria Nacional de Proteção e Defesa, reconheceu oficialmente a Situação de Emergência em Bom Jesus da Lapa, devido à grave estiagem que afeta a região. Esta decisão foi formalizada por meio de uma Portaria assinada pelo secretário nacional de Proteção e Defesa Civil, Wolnei Wolff Barreiros, e publicada no Diário Oficial da União.
A estiagem prolongada tem causado sérios impactos na vida da população local, especialmente de áreas da zona rural, comprometendo o abastecimento de água e a produção agrícola, além de agravar as condições de vida das famílias mais vulneráveis. O reconhecimento da Situação de Emergência é um passo importante que permite à Prefeitura Municipal de Bom Jesus da Lapa solicitar recursos do Governo Federal para implementar ações de socorro e assistência à população afetada.
Com a formalização do Estado de Emergência, a Prefeitura poderá requisitar apoio financeiro para diversas ações de Defesa Civil. Entre as principais medidas que poderão ser adotadas estão a aquisição de cestas básicas, distribuição de água mineral, fornecimento de refeições para trabalhadores e voluntários envolvidos nas ações de ajuda, além da entrega de kits de limpeza para residências, higiene pessoal e dormitórios. Essas iniciativas são essenciais para mitigar os efeitos da estiagem e garantir a dignidade e a saúde da população.
A Defesa Civil Nacional tem um papel crucial nesse processo, atuando para garantir que os recursos cheguem rapidamente às áreas afetadas e que as medidas de socorro sejam efetivas.
