O Programa Computadores para a Inclusão, do Ministério das Comunicações, recebeu a doação de 1.500 máquinas descartadas pelo Banco do Brasil e pelo Ministério da Gestão e da Inovação (MGI).
O material passará por um processo de triagem, com reparos e limpeza. Depois de recondicionados, os equipamentos serão entregues a Escolas Públicas do Distrito Federal e do Nordeste. Outros pontos que desenvolvem Projetos de Inclusão Digital voltados ao atendimento de comunidades e áreas remotas também serão contemplados.
O secretário nacional de Telecomunicações, do Ministério das Comunicações, Hermano Tercius, explica que o Programa Computadores para Inclusão atua para expandir a Inclusão Digital pelo país.
“O Computadores para Inclusão é um Programa, que eu costumo dizer, que leva Inclusão Digital na veia. Então, o que é que ele faz: ele doa computadores para Entidades Públicas ou sem fins lucrativos e comunidades vulneráveis. Muitas pessoas que de fato precisam não têm condições de ter esse computador. Então, a gente doa computador pra muitas Escolas Públicas, que é o principal, e além disso, junto com o computador, a gente dá também o treinamento, essa parte do treinamento digital. Então, ele é um Programa muito importante e que a gente vê na prática as pessoas mudando de vida”.
A Inclusão Digital é uma das agendas prioritárias do Governo Federal, com Programas que ampliam o acesso à conectividade em diversas regiões do país. Nesse sentido, o Programa Computadores para a Inclusão recondiciona máquinas de Norte a Sul do Brasil para garantir que, especialmente, as Escolas Públicas possam contar com seus próprios Laboratórios de Informática.
Desde a criação, o Programa já soma mais de 59 mil computadores doados, compondo mais de 5 mil Pontos de Inclusão Digital, que estão distribuídos em mais de 1.200 municípios brasileiros.
