Ao retornar às atividades parlamentares, depois de um período de licença médica, o deputado federal Waldenor Pereira (PT-BA) foi prestigiado com uma audiência com nada menos que o ministro da Casa Civil, Rui Costa. O ex-governador da Bahia, amigo e companheiro de partido, fez questão de recebê-lo em seu gabinete, assim que o parlamentar botou os pés em Brasília, na noite desta última terça-feira (02), para tratar de política e saber da sua recuperação.
Os dois conversaram sobre políticas públicas do Governo Lula e também sobre o tabuleiro político baiano visando às próximas eleições municipais, com foco nas perspectivas eleitorais no município de Vitória da Conquista, o terceiro maior da Bahia, quando Waldenor Pereira manteve o seu nome à disposição do partido como pré-candidato para a disputa da Prefeitura no próximo pleito conquistense.
O deputado também apresentou ao ministro uma ampla pauta de ações para projetos estruturantes em sua região de atuação parlamentar, em parceria com o deputado estadual Zé Raimundo (PT). Isso inclui o Sudoeste, Serra Geral, Chapada Diamantina, Médio São Francisco e Bacia do Paramirim. Destacam-se nas solicitações de Waldenor Pereira dois itens estratégicos: a duplicação da BR-116, com a construção de viadutos no entorno do anel viário conquistense; e a criação da Universidade Federal do Sudoeste.
Quanto à duplicação da BR-116, o ministro aceitou a proposta do deputado de realizar nos próximos dias, audiência em seu gabinete, com a presença de prefeitos dos municípios vizinhos, empresários e parlamentares. Para o segundo item prioritário da pauta, o deputado apresentou farta documentação, constando a aprovação do Conselho da Universidade Federal da Bahia para o desmembramento do Campus Anísio Teixeira, em Vitória da Conquista, com a finalidade de transformá-lo na desejada Universidade Federal do Sudoeste; o projeto de lei em tramitação, de nº 9396, de autoria de Waldenor Pereira, que cria a universidade, além de indicações, ofícios e estudos. Rui Costa assumiu o compromisso de autorizar a realização de estudos para tratar do assunto com o presidente Lula e o ministro da Educação.
Além das pautas prioritárias da Universidade e da BR-116, o deputado apresentou ao ministro outros projetos estratégicos para o desenvolvimento regional: a revitalização do Projeto do Perímetro de Irrigação nos municípios de Livramento de Nossa Senhora e Dom Basílio; construção da Adutora da Fé (que abrange os municípios de Bom Jesus da Lapa, Igaporã e Riacho de Santana) que o ministro se comprometeu em incluí-lo na relação de obras do PAC 2; construção das barragens de Morrinhos, na região do Vale do Gavião, e sobre o rio da Caixa, na Bacia do Paramirim; retomada das obras da Ferrovia Oeste/Leste; retomada de obras federais inacabadas de creches e escolas de ensino fundamental; e a construção e revitalização de estradas federais, como a BR-030, que corta grande parte da região de atuação do mandato do deputado.O parlamentar petista agradeceu ao ministro pela deferência da recepção em seu primeiro dia de retorno às atividades parlamentares e manifestou a sua satisfação com o resultado: “Foi um excelente encontro, caloroso pela recepção do amigo ministro, e produtivo pela resposta à pauta que apresentamos para ações do governo federal em nossas regiões”, comentou ao final da reunião.
