Com a chegada do mês de dezembro e a proximidade das celebrações de fim de ano, o Boletim: Cesta de Produtos Natalinos, desenvolvido pelo Núcleo de Pesquisas Econômicas e Socioambientais (Nepes) da Uesb, ganha destaque ao revelar os impactos desta época no orçamento das famílias. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio do Programa de Extensão Indicadores Econômicos: Cesta Básica de Vitória da Conquista, entre os dias 1º e 5 de dezembro, em 35 estabelecimentos comerciais da cidade.
O levantamento analisou 26 itens tradicionais consumidos neste período. Os estabelecimentos visitados foram atacadões, supermercados, mercadinhos e padarias, distribuídos em 17 bairros da cidade que, no estudo, foram divididos em seis regiões e organizados em tabela.
Segundo a pesquisa, os produtos apresentaram uma variação de preços considerável, fato que representa a diversidade de marcas ofertadas, a qualidade dos produtos disponíveis e a intensa concorrência entre os estabelecimentos. O preço médio da cesta na cidade, em 2025, é de R$ 857,43 equivalente a 56,51% do salário mínimo atual. Em 2024, esse valor médio era de R$ 855,54, sendo 60,61% do salário-mínimo da época.
Com base no estudo apresentado, os produtos mais caros da cesta natalina são peru, chester e queijos tipo reino que são protagonistas da ceia de Natal. Em contrapartida, produtos como uvas passas, creme de leite e frutas cristalizadas, que também são famosos, foram os que tiveram menor impacto financeiro no custo total da cesta.
Diante dos dados apresentados, a pesquisa reforça a importância de se informar e comparar preços para garantir escolhas mais conscientes e econômicas sem comprometer o orçamento do final do ano. O documento sugere um aplicativo do Governo do Estado, chamado Preço da Hora Bahia, que auxilia o consumidor na consulta de preços de diversos produtos.
