Agentes da Polícia Federal de Vitória da Conquista e Audotires da Controladoria Geral da União cumprem Mandados de Busca e Apreensão em Itapetinga

Na manhã desta quinta-feira, 12 de junho, a Polícia Federal e a Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU) deram início à Operação Dia Zero, uma ação conjunta com o objetivo de desmantelar uma organização criminosa que estaria envolvida em desvio de recursos federais destinados às ações de Saúde Pública em Salvador.
As investigações tiveram início após a identificação de diversas irregularidades em um contrato firmado entre a Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Salvador e uma Organização Social investigada. Este contrato, que tinha como finalidade fornecer suporte técnico na área de Tecnologia da Informação para facilitar o acesso aos serviços de Saúde Pública do município, permaneceu vigente por quase uma década, durante a qual foram constatados pagamentos realizados sem a devida cobertura contratual, indicando possíveis fraudes e desvios.
Nesta fase da operação estão sendo cumpridos 25 Mandados de Busca e Apreensão nos municípios de Salvador, Mata de São João e Itapetinga, na Bahia, além de Maceió, em Alagoas. Além disso, a 2ª Vara Especializada Criminal da Seção Judiciária Federal da Bahia expediu ordens de bloqueio de valores no valor de R$ 100 milhões, bem como o bloqueio de imóveis e o afastamento temporário de ocupantes de cargos públicos relacionados ao esquema.
Os investigados poderão responder por diversos crimes, incluindo fraude à licitação, peculato, corrupção ativa e passiva, associação à organização criminosa e lavagem de ativos. As ações visam não apenas prender os envolvidos, mas também recuperar os recursos desviados e fortalecer os mecanismos de fiscalização na gestão pública.
Os alvos dos Mandados de Busca e Apreensão e dos bloqueios de valores autorizados pela Justiça Federal não foram identificados.
Participam da Operação cerca de 130 Policiais Federais e 18 Auditores da CGU.
Segundo uma fonte da Superintendência da Polícia Federal na Bahia, a operação evidencia o compromisso das autoridades na luta contra a corrupção e a má gestão dos recursos públicos destinados à Saúde Pública, reforçando a importância do combate às organizações criminosas que atuam nesses setores essenciais para a população.
