Luís Lázaro Santana Alves, conhecido como “LL”, de 32 anos, apontado como chefe do Comando Vermelho no Bairro da Liberdade, em Salvador, foi capturado nesta terça-feira (4) na cidade de Eusébio, Região Metropolitana de Fortaleza. A prisão ocorreu durante a Operação Freedom, deflagrada por uma força-tarefa composta por Agentes da Polícia Civil e da Polícia Militar da Bahia, em conjunto com a Polícia Civil do Ceará.
LL foi preso ao lado da companheira, Marielle Silva Santos, identificada pelas autoridades como responsável pela lavagem de dinheiro da facção criminosa. O casal, considerado o principal alvo da operação, estava foragido desde que deixou a Bahia.
Segundo a Secretaria de Estado da Segurança Pública da Bahia, a prisão representa um duro golpe na estrutura de comando e no esquema financeiro do Comando Vermelho na capital baiana. As investigações que culminaram na operação indicam que LL exercia papel de liderança na organização criminosa, sendo responsável pela logística de drogas e armamentos, além de autorizar ações criminosas.
Contra o casal foram cumpridos Mandados de Prisão Temporária por Tráfico de Drogas. Após a captura, ambos foram encaminhados à sede do Departamento Especializado de Investigação e Repressão ao Narcotráfico (Denarc), em Fortaleza, onde aguardam transferência para Salvador.
